The news on the fringe players being released / being told they're not wanted is all from a very reliable poster on another forum…

I could see Matai but I couldn't see Watmough

don't have a problem with matai and watmough coming in but they should be signed to not only play but to mentor the junior players who will replace them, doesn't work when we release the junior players who will replace them! same with r.hoffman, lillyman, mannering, vatuvei, rapira, leuluai and any other player over 28 years old.

With j.hoffman i don't see where he fits in... we have tomkins/fisiiahi/lolohea/abbey as fullbacks, manu/laumape/hurrell/fusitua/fisiiahi/henry/peyroux/neilsen in the centre/wings and leuluai/johnson/lolohea/townsend in the halves so i don't see where he will fit in, if we sign him we will lose one (or more) of them.

bukuya is not a player whose signing i really understood (we have enough second rowers and locks), while mateo does need a change of scenery (he can win us games but how often has that happened in the last 2 years?)

2 months ago i'd have said no way to Matai & Watmough. Now, I think it has become very obvious we need some hard ass players to instill toughness into our team. I'm all for it.

Hoffman - I wouldn't be surprised if Tomkins leaves to be honest. Just a gut feeling..

Manu - if he played in the forwards, he'd play 30 minutes max per game. I'd still prefer him on the wing starting our sets off well. We saw against Penrith, he still has plenty of gas.

Since Cappy took over our season is 10-9 with no off-season training and this is Elliott's team. Next season will be a better judge of where we are

There will be no Watmough (obviously) or Matai. There will be no other big name recruit either from the NRL or ESL before 2015 Kick-off.

If we're lucky we might offload one of Mateo, Neilsen or Bukuya.

Some NSW cup forwards will move on, some will remain, a junior or two might be upgraded. Status quo. There is no 'clearing of the decks' for 1-2 high profile players.

"You heard it here first."

Sadly, this is the most likely scenario.

Prediction for next season. Rinse, Wash, Repeat

Watmough has not signed for Paramatta

Warriors are still there, I understand he is a package deal with Matai

Hmmm, for now more trust in SMH than you...

Fair enough, I dont need to share anymore with guys given your attitude, I have nothing to prove to you.

Watmough 100% has not signed with Paramatta. If we get Matai we get Watmough also. Wont say why now. Just watch how it plays out.

Fair enough. I'd be happy with them, but prefer a prop and a 6.
