Mateo and Bukuya could be fantastic at Manly with their systems. Its not that bad a deal under the circumstances.

lol has there ever been a player whose talent and impact completely disintegrated as soon as they signed a upgraded contract. All the news media press and then boom , nothing performance after nothing performance.

What I cant work out is why did McFadden keep picking him and not test out a Vete or a Papalii. I mean Matangi didnt exactly play a huge amount of minutes in any games.

Matagi is a real let down, last year he was bulldozing metres and now he's slow and tired.

He had some strong carries last night but I saw him huffing and puffing when Penrith scored one of their tries... I think it was the last Penrith try of the first half. Wtf got him so tired!

I don't want to see him dumped though, lets give McFadden an off season with these boys.
Remember this year Martel and Laomappy came back fat and useless, I don't think McF will let that happen.

That is a fair point. You must also question though, would Vete/Passi/Papalii turn into more Araiiti/Ah Mau/PoChings? I.E have the potential that we all seen in under 20s, but never kicked on. I am seeing the same thing in both Lousi brothers and in Gubb. We are stuck with them Though.

Will be interesting to see the plan for Allwood if the Matai signing eventuates; is he a centre or a winger...if as a winger we have fish, Hukatai, Fusitua and Laumape. As a centre Laumape, Hurrell, Matai and as a stretch Peyroux (even though Peyroux has been told he can look for other clubs).

I'd honestly be looking to chuck him a centre jersey and leave Laumape in the wing.

Will be interesting, it's not about McFadden, it's about whether the players are professional... at the end of the day, if they turn up unfit, what can he do? Not like he will tear up contracts, so he just has to get them in shape...

Hopefully they've matured... although that excuse should not have been a factor with Mateo anyways

Allwood signing is puzzling as the raiders fans seem pleased he is gone. In their eyes he is a numpty.

I was disapointed we let Ah Mau go. He always powered forward and had plenty of mongrel in him. He is kind of a poor mans Jeremy Smith and serving the dragons pretty well.

Paasi could be another FPN type player. I think the warriors needed to give him a handful of games to test his potential. 1 off match in the cauldron at brisbane was never a fair indication. I would argue we really missed a player of his aggression in the side this year.

Vete will mature, Surely with Jerry Seuseu and Joe Vagana about they could get him on track. I think he could go on to be a very production forward. He is young, big and very strong. He is a worthy investment in my eyes.

I have no prob with Peyroux (aside from worse hands as bad as Manu's can be) , I would be interested to know why he never got the injury cover gig rather than Benry?
