If im a player and watch that, I go to bed knowing my spot in the team is safe.

"The scoreline doesn't reflect the effort."

Coach happy with the improvement. Things they spoke about this week, he saw. So happy about that. Elephant man sitting beside him backed this up.

Reporter asked straight out will Nicho be going to fullback.
" Definately not. That was 5 years ago."

No changes in 2 weeks.

Nicho daren’t run the ball with any gusto when playing in the halves, so I’d hate to see him have to make a kick return - he no longer runs to bust the line; he only runs when he’s forced to run because there are no other options, and then he takes the easy yards in front of him, then looks for support or cowers into the contact.

He's done, if he were on 300k a year and had a short back and sides he'd be floating around clubs like Jack Cogger or Brad Schneider.

I didn't have a problem with the presser. You kinda have to put yourself in his shoes. He can't just say Nichos a dropkick or we played like soft cocks. You can see his frustrations. Now he has to fix it and he touched on having to get more out of our best players. There were some signs of fight in the first half which we haven't shown since the last Melbourne game.

I'm extremely off the Sharkies at the moment but for some weird reason I think these bell ends will do the Dolphins. Not that it will matter.

The pressers are simple public relations exercises. I don't expect them to provide any great revelations except in body language.

Is the coach saying Nicho's the halfback and in no danger of being dropped?
Or...is he saying that if Nicho doesn't get his act together he doesn't get the luxury of moving to another position - thus, he was bought as a halfback and he'll be halfback for newtown if NRL doesnt work out.

If I’m a player I probably don’t watch pressers or pay much attention since the coach will speak to us in private

All year Nicho, I don't think I have seen him actually sprint, he is already slower then Adam Reynolds.
It's like Moyza all over again

The Press Conference is a reflection and insight of the Coach's thoughts - We have all seen Bellamy give his players a spray in a Press Conference which followed up with a ballistic spray behind closed doors.

Fitzgibbon has been super cool headed in previous press conferences - last week we saw the emergence of that pressure which also extended into this week's press conference (my view).

The criticism of course is that it should have been addressed weeks ago - it's like letting your kids do want ever they want in a restaurant for the last three years and then expecting them to behave at a wedding.

The fact that Fitzy was prickley with the question around Hynes to Fullback shows how he is feeling at the moment.
