it's still $400k, but depending on who wins it..

melbourne - $800,000
roosters - $40,000
canberra - they should have $400,000, but for reasons out of their control they weren't given it.
tigers - they won cash, but somehow ended up with an apartment on victoria road instead
manly - $400,000, but there has to be an investigation as to why it's so low
dragons - won the $400k, but were rolled for it by someone tougher
rabbitohs - 300 pound, 5 shillings & sixpence
bulldogs - $400,000. 3 times.
sharks -
cowboys - had to pay $400,000 after an admin stuffup
knights - these funds are now the property of KPMG insolvency department to pay creditors of the former owner
parramatta - $400k. $399 of it to hayne.
warriors - $200k NZD after conversion rate
panthers - $400k, but can only be collected in $300 amounts, every 2nd thursday
broncos - $700k, the additional $300k provided by the thoroughbreds
titans - $0. it all went to paying off the centre of excellence.

From a monetary POV, the clubs would gain the most from bonuses in sponsor contracts...

I remember is '08, Knights missed the finals on for-and-against (first team since the 8-team finals fromat to miss the 8 with a 12-12 record). The made a loss of about $200k if i recall correctly, but said they would have broken even just by making the finals and made a good profit if they went further.

The ARLC doesnt need to pay prisemoney for such a prestigious event (the 9s tourney would have needed a draw for the players, but not the premiership). The NRL would have better things to spend their money on and the exposer for the sponsors of the premiers would make the extra 4 weeks worth it....

Winning the premiership , gets you more fans , members and more sponsor $$.

Souths have most members and richest jersey sponsorship.

what a dumb correlation..

if this was true, your jersey would be filled with sponsors like brylcreem, ampol petrol & valliant automobiles..

and as for members, there is a distinct spike in membership after a premiership, however this will disperse as the years go on.. so any benefit to membership you would have received from winning a premiership would be pretty thin on the ground by now, given that more than half of australia's population weren't even alive to see your last premiership..

more contributing factors to membership are length of time club has been in operation, ratio clubs : population in area, different types of membership (eg if there are 3 game memberships, pet memberships etc), strength and focus of membership drive etc..

I was curious about the response to my note. And bingo a Turkey walks in.

If you look at my note , I never made a correlation.

I just stated two separate Statements and was waiting for readers to consider or make observations .

The two Statements imply , that the first statement cannot be TRUE , given Souths have not WON a premiership for over 40 years. Those jealous fans who talk about Souths bandwagon supporters , have a problem. Why are there so many Souths fans and sponsors if Souths have NOT won a premiership for over 40 years.

Go figure , i will lead the conclusion to you, not you Turkey ( Muzby) but others.lol

good of you to go back and add in comments.. not sure why you'd post a blank reply, but hey..

it's all good mate, we know you were trying in your usual way to brag about souths having a lot of premierships..

no need to back track on what you've said to try and make it seem like you were saying something different...

we're all friends here...
