If i were a niners fan id be more concerned about aldon smith getting snubbed, although you cant say he's had a better year than Babin, Allen or JPP... but i think as a OLB, he was worth a look as an OLB ahead of briggs, even though he's had a steller year too

thats the trouble with the pro bowl... there arent many spots... youd think Smith and Bowman will be close to a look once people pull out due to SB/injury

It depends on your criteria for picking

Some argue the Pro Bowl is an award for a seasons work, not a lifetimes

Others argue the opposite, that reputations are earned over time.

I think players like Aldon Smith for the 49ers and Stafford from the Lions can consider themselves very unlucky not to have been picked on the back of the great years they have had.

The joke of the group: Ray Lewis.... but a "name" in this league will get you places you [often] shouldn't be. Nature of the beast.

As good as Bowman has been this year, and i agree he's been great
he's not a better player and has not had a better year than Urlacher or Willis
the pro bowl is a 4-3, only room for one starting ILB and one back up. That leaves Bowman firmly on the outter, stop being a homer for 5 seconds, please.

He's out performed Willis this year imo, it's going to be interesting to see what they do when he comes out of contract. It will take a pretty penny to sign he and Aldon Smith up lol

If you honestly think smiths year has been better than those three you are completely beyond helps. Allen and babin have 18+ sacks each. Jpp has 14ish as well as loads of tackles playing the run and he shows up on st with big plays. It's embarrassing and pathetic how much of a homer you are.

Aldon Smith will probably win rookie of the year over Von Miller and Cam Newton, yet Miller made the pro bowl. I saw Smith wallop the Steelers O line and this guy is going to be a beast for years to come.

I think he deserved a start in the pro bowl.
