Why would opposition players choose to run at Scotty whose defence stings whilst others in our side would be lucky to knock the top off a custard tart!!!

Why would they choose to run at Senter, Skando, Laffranchi, Payten and Gibbs for then ??? Why arn't our backs making 30,40 and 50 odd tackles agame for ????

Satts can hit but so can any other player in the NRL even Benji for that matter could hit a player hard if he rushed up out off the line

Sattler does make 30 odd tackles agame and if you look at all his tackles be it missed and made you will find that most of the tackles that he actually does attempt are whilst he is standing next to another Wests Tigers player not when he rushes out of the defence line and leaves everyone else 10meters behind him

Dean Collis did play a game in 1st grade late last year.He also shat on Willie Tonga when opposed to him in the Magpies semi-final victory over the Eels last year.Give yourself an uppercut!
My apologies for not knowing evrything about collis.
One good game against someone who hadnt yet stepped up but has since done so, makes him ready for firsts?

Bronsons opportunities in the 1sts have been very limited, whilst a young player being a standout in Premier League does indicate he`s ready for the top grade! If your of the opinion that it doesn`t,what does?
They have to take that further step up......standout footy in reggies is nothing compared to first grade....they have to find something extra.
Harrisons yet to do that.

Im surprised Sattler is copping a bit,he has looked pretty bloody good to me.I know he has missed a few but gee you have to admire how he plays the game.

If he does miss its not from lack of dedication or heart or committment.

Cheers.

Well said simon...
Reminds me a bit of Raudonikis....he used to cop a lot of critisism as well, he wasn't the most skillful half around, far from it, but you couldnt question his dedication or heart or committment.

No one said he ever rushes out of the line, nor should he.I said he makes more effort than anybody else to get to a tackle. He is quite often the second or third man in a tackle to shut down any chance of an offload besides making plenty of one on one tackles!

OPPORTUNITY!I`ts all that these two youngsters need!Hopefully Collis will get a permanent starting spot before the year is over, whilst if he gets his fair share of game time tomorrow,Bronson should prove his worth as a regular 1st grader for us all to see. This i`m confident of although I maintain he is most effective in the centres!

Mate he has been good for us you can see that, all I am pointing out is how ridiculous the statement is in regards to Benji's injury being a blessing in disguise, and how it appears certain people all of a sudden have shown they indeed arn't a fan of Benji playing in the top grade for us at the moment AFTER he has a season ending injury!

As I said before I am happy to have Satts in the top grade and I don't have any problem with that!

Vicious If you actually look at the tackles he mostly misses it is when he does run out of the defensive line, however when he stays with the defensive line his missed tackle count drops dramatically thats what I was referring to - that to me would be a missreading in the attacking formation and something that wouldn't hurt if it was addressed thats all.

Understood! One big problem in the teams performance is the fact that we rarely ever cause a turn over of posession due to a good solid hit in defence!

Mate couldn't agree more, and whats even worse is that I think you will find that when we actually do get a turn over, the Wests Tigers actually have the worst record of this in the NRL and thats turn the ball over within the next 2 tackles which is also something that needs to be addressed!

Thats why I think someone like Wiki would be amazing at the club!

I know we have some young guys coming through the ranks (Dickson of late has been really impressive with his hits in both Flegg and PL and I get the funny feeling he could very well taste 1st grade towards the end of this year if not next year) but in saying that we need someone like Wiki or Civonceva who just dosn't hit hard but does actually put some fear into the opposition

Phil; the tackle count, in this instance, is irrelevant. Benji's defense on the goal line lead directly to at least 2, if not 3 trys. As you will remember we lost but just 1 try. Sattlers missed tackles on the other hand are inconsequential. They are made in the middle of the park and are natural considering the amount of work he gets through.

thats right your use to players having a high missed tackle count arn't you

Sattler is not just leading the missed tackles, he aslo leads the penalties and by some margin I should add (which do give the oposition the much needed field position to score tries) and on top of this add his error rate and well there could be a good case to say we would be better off without Sattler as well

Now I'm not saying we should drop Sattler however to say that Benji's injury is a good thing really is a joke!!!!!!!

WTF is that ment to mean???

Errr, when did I advocate Satts for a position in the team?

I'm sure you'll be quick to back that claim up with a quote from my goodself.

So what is directed at Benji when you think a PL 5/8th/lock knows how to play rugby league whilst Benji dosn't ???

Yet one has had considerable more expereince than the other in the top grade!

One has made headlines everywhere around the rugby league community where as the other hasn't!

One has been labeled the Messaiha from other sources that arn't involved with the Wests Tigers where as the other hasn't!

One will be earning at least $200k a year where as the other won't within the next 12mths!

Hey I guess your right he has no clue and that Fulton is a better player and that everyone apart from yoruself have rocks in their heads and don't know anything about league

Westie how about you put that suit back on, and get your mother to this time keep your cage locked!!!

I'll assume you are referring to Benji :?

Why then were you using him as an arguement against me :?

You still havn't shown me where I said "It is a good thing that Benji has been injured for the rest of the season". In my opinion, to suggest that some one would say that is absolute scum. Nobody wants to see some one f**k themselves up to the degree that him did.

You've confused not only myself with some of the shit you've come up with, but i'm sure you've confused yourself. You've got some issues mate, I suggest you sort them.

Well you assumed wrong as usual  because he can tackle unlike a hell of alot of the blokes running around out at Wests at the moment!!!

westie said:

I was using him as an argument against the whole negative spin on Benji and his so called missed tackle problem - But I guess since you have nothing but magpie fathers in that thick skull of yours you fail to see anything but those clouded emotions you have towards your club

So your saying that he did it to himself ???? Mate you are one very sad twisted and demented person!

I have issues

I think we all have issues and thats with you or do you fail to realise reality ???
