Norths results did improve as the season went on. This was no doubt due to the recuitment of Po and Gregory from Windsor and Beattie and Smith from Hornsby. Also the Roosters had some arrangement where they could draft Ben Black (Bears best) into their team during State of Origin.

Norths basically had an entirely different team from 2002. This was because 10 players transferred to Entrance, Woy Woy, Erina and Ourimbah in 2003.
