Rubbish ground for TV. You could have 30,000 there and all you see on TV are those yellow seats and the massive distance from the sideline to the stands.

Just under 25,000 tickets sold for the double header now, they only need 25,000 to record a profit.

Lets hope the PNG game records a profit too.

I was at the game and it seemed nothing like that being there ... the crowd seemed massive and I thought it may have even been a bit more. Atmosphere was fantastic and a big Kiwis chant went up several times which really boomed around the stadium.

It was actually one of the most atmospheric and enjoyable games of league I've ever been to!

Well done Wellington and well done NZRL!!!

The biggest crowd for a British side in NZ for 52 years.

Porirua park is rectangular but stand only holds couple thousand. Rugby league park. But rugby stole that with the help of Wellington City Council and the stand only holds a few hundred.

So no, no option for a rectangular "stadium" in Wellington.

Tickets sales up to 35,000 now! Better get my four tickets soon to get a good seat. Still hoping to get over 40,000.

I have no doubts as the press start talking it up, more tickets will be sold.

They should be encouraged to wear all black... that would be amazing.. Can you imagine.. I think they'll get well over 40,000 - what's the weather like for the game?

Might end up getting more to this game than the final.

The final will be close to a sell out I think

If the WC final can sell out when nearly everyone gave NZ no hope of winning then this years 4N will attract big numbers given how even the game will be.

i thinking nz should have got the final, they are pretty much hosting the tournament, it would have been a good way to test them out for a future world cup!

Just bought my four tickets and the PAX was 29,500.

Though all the seats that are left are in a crappy view. They must have areas closed because there was bugger all to choose from when they just released a few more thousand seats.

I think the new capacity is 50,000??
