sony haven't really said much about their online plans for the PS3 but it is expected to be more in line with Xbox live where there are centralised servers for all games rather than having each developer running their own servers as is the case with PS2.

What is the difference between PS3 and PS2?

alot more processing power which means much better graphics.

Amongst the other things is wireless controllers standard, inbuilt wireless networking to connect to your psp and potentially online gaming. Done away with the traditional memory cards now using memory sticks, flash cards etc.

Still though, I have to say that being an owner of all the current gen of platforms, I'm definately most impressed with sony's PS3 so far... The Blue Ray technology may not be totally utilised initially, but as the console comes into it's own I'm sure we'll start seeing the full potential of unlocked in unbeleivable ways! I can't wait to see nVidia's PC line of the RSX!

Your right Blu Ray technology will be a winner with Sony..

Sony's online play will be comparable to that of the current xbox...which is good.

Xbox360 is supposed to be 10x more smooth online then XBL...scary..

I will definately wait for the PS3.

Madden 2007 will be worth the wait...

Question, I heard once the PS3 is released you will be able to simply download games that are not normally available to the gamer who only use PAL (UK and AUS), any truth to this rumour? For e.g. I would be able to download the NCAA Football 2007 game only released in the USA on NTSC.

I got NCAA Football 2005 (from www.realgamers.com.au) using a 'Slide Card' which tricks the PAL into thinking it is a NTSC version, though this feature is something I for one hope rings true.

Cheers

that would OWN! i have NCAA from like 93 for the mega drive but havent been able to get one since.
