Why do you care so much Bumble? Do Nintendo pay you commission?

As for 360 / PS3;

PS3 will have more longevity, and in the long term is a cheaper option than the 360 since Live costs $80 a year, not including battery packs, wireless adapters etc. that come standard in the PS3. That said, the 360 has a better library at the present, but if you're into "casual" games there isn't much for you there. Also the 360 is very unreliable but the warranty has been extended to cover that.

You'll have more fun with a 360 now, but that won't be the case come October / November. Not to say the 360 is suddenly going to hit a wall, but the PS3 has some really amazing things due by then and the 360's 2008 line-up is looking pretty skinny.

Ah that's awesome, thanks heaps! Much appreciated.

Suppose I should wait a little while, as for games. I tend only to play racing types or the odd sports one from time to time.

I just find it interesting that you always pop up to suggest a Wii to people who aren't interested. Kinda like a guy who pops up to suggest a scooter to someone who can't decide between a BMW or a Mercedes.

Yep, the Wii is a scooter compared to the brilliant sales figures and gaming experience that the BMW of consoles, the PS3 possesses.:roll:

Well I wouldn't know how well BMW's and Mercedes' are selling compared to scooters, it was mostly to illustrate how different they are.

Now who's paranoid? :).

Why doesn't everyone just tee up with a mate who has each console, then you can all get together and have a PS3 vs Wii vs 360 party and leave us all alone! :D

I have both a Wii and a PS3. I say this, if you have the money get both.

Wii has great interactive features, the best thing about the Wii is that its games that are tailor made for it are unique and you cannot compete. I have the Wii Sports, Play, and Fit additions. All of them are great...especially the golf game! What I do say though, is for all other games that are made for more than one console that the Wii rates badly.

Best examples I have personally is the Madden and Fifa games, PS3 kills them and I'm not talking graphics either...so many features included. So for your run of the mill games get either the PS3 or 360, but don't knock the Wii for its interactive games...theyre awesome.

for what it's worth... i lost my weekend to super mario galaxy and metroid prime 3: corruption (i only recently re-aquired my wii from a mate who had it on "extended loan" >_<). i literally could not put galaxy down. it's an amazing game with all the charm and polish that mario games are famous for. it could, in fact, be the best mario game ever developed. an incredible gaming experience that i wish i could complete for the first time over again. AAA+.

metroid prime 3 gets a similar review from me. it is quite flawless. the wii controls finally live up to their hype for FPS gaming in this one, it works brilliantly. the puzzles and action in the game thus far are top notch and i can't find a single fault at the moment. i haven't played any of the previous metroid or metroid prime games... but sh*t this one is great.

as brycey said.. the games that are tailored for the wii from the ground up are absolutely fantastic. lazy ported games to the wii are sh*t. there have only been 2 ports for the wii that are definitely worth getting thus far - those 2 being resident evil 4: wii edition and zelda: twilight princess.

Do all XBOX360's come with HDMI?

The port or the cable?

All new 360s (Arcade included) come with the port, the Elite is the only one that comes with the cable for it though. Premium comes with a component/composite hybrid cable, and the Arcade comes with a composite cable.

Help!

I'm still trying to dcide between the 360 and PS3...and I still can't amek up my mind. Any helpful advice would be nice!

Owning all 3, I rank them like this....

3. Wii - Great fun. The only system I have successfully got my girlfriend into so it gets a bit more usage than the PS3. Waving your hands around like a dickhead gets very tiresome after the first 20 mins, and frankly the controls are nowhere near as accurate as people make out. I've switched to using normal style controls for any game I actually want to play rather than just have a laugh at with mates.

Not being able to re-charge the batteries also cost it points as it just reeks of cheapness. When such a system would have cost next to nothing to implement there really is no excuse.

2. PS3 - Don't get me wrong, the games are amazing and are easily the most involving and brilliant of all 3 consoles, however i dont have enough free time to play it anymore. Just pips the Wii because I can play the games for more than 20 mins without feeling the need to change.

1. Xbox 360 - While it is most likely the least popular gaming console in my house, and I haven't bought a new game for it in months (mainly because I just buy the game on PS3 instead), it easily gets the most use out of all 3. I've got it set up as a media server and it runs like clockwork. Took all of 1 minute to set up, and now i use it every day to watch TV shows, movies or whatever. Best of all, while I love the PS3 for the exclusive titles, if you are more into sports games and such you are never going to be found wanting for games.

Also, I realise you also need to change the batteries in the controllers, but all the media centre features (and the fact microsoft at least makes rechargable packs for them) makes up for it.

So essentially....

PS3 if you love epic games which you will play for months

Wii if you are more into casual "hit and giggle" type games

Xbox if you want to use it as more than just a gaming console

I'll write a list out when I get home.... at TAFE at the moment.

The game colletion is huge for any of them. about a dozen I suppose for each of the PS3 and 360, and half that for the Wii (I got this system last)

The Xbox 360 is definitely the system to get now that its price has been lowered yet again. It's only 400 dollars in NZ now lol. I have one and its great, use it for everything from DVDs to music and sometimes to chat

I am defo leaning towards PS3 now, Sony have proved me wrong (again!). I do like all three next gen consoles, but as you have it for years I don't mind paying a little more for one. Now the price has dropped I'll look to get one when the new SIlent hill is out

What has Sony done to prove you wrong?? All they've done recently is make me reconsider owning my PS3...All it is at the moment is my bluray player.

How has the price really dropped on the PS3? There hasn't been a drop since the 40GB model came out.

Just FYI the new Silent Hill is coming out on both the PS3 and the 360.

and if you are going to get a PS3 I'd recommend holding off until the end of august, they'll be releasing a model with an 80gb hard drive for the same price as the current 40gb sells for.

Sounds like me.

Two of my mates who both live down the road have a Wii & it's usually a gangbang when we play, so I have no need to buy one.

I'd buy PS3 just for Metal Gear.

I've never enjoyed X-Box. Controsl are sh*thouse IMO.
