Red Bear causing trouble with beer snakes.

Hussey was seeing it like a basketball. That cover drive early in the day was the shot of the match.

I don't know enough about Cowper to judge but I'd say Hayden is still in front of him atm, but I'd say he has passed Taylor.
Matt Hayden was a flat track bully. He averaged 60 in Australia and 41 away from home.

Couldn't hack Test cricket when we weren't the best team in the world and was brought back in once the team was killing it.

Had one idea - bully the opposition - and when that didn't work (a-la England 2005) then he had no clue what to do.

Most overated cricketer in Australian Test history. Michael Slater pissed all over him.

Hmm, He did well the first year after the good players retired, then he had an achilles problem that really finished him off.

I agree he was a bit of a flat track bully, only have to see his record in area's the ball moves around a bit (England, SA, NZ). Langer was the player who you'd rely on in tough situations (see 2005 Ashes also, easily our best bat).

Agree that Hayden was a bit of a bully of poor pace attacks. Never succeeded against quality fast bowling - Windies in the 90's, England in 05 and Steyn at the end of his career.

Outstanding player of spin though.

Hayden was the very definition of a flat track bully and a bully period. When conditions were good and Australia on top he was a dominating force. When the scenario was the opposite he disappeared. A large proportion of his 2nd innings centuries were scored Australia was well on top.

I agree with TT  that his 201 on the Indian tour was a great innings. It was that tour that saw his rise.
He's also an ugly motherf**ker.

Clarke only averages 41 away from home as well. Given me Hayden over Slater 34 times a week.
