According to emails obtained by the 7.30 report (see link in thread on main NRL page on this forum) from Dank to WADA & return, the anti-obesity drug he apparently prescribed to Essendon players was not approved (as it was not for human use) & he seems to defy their request to confirm this with ASADA, seemingly because he knows what they'll say about it.

His letter from WADA approving it's use is really an email(s) denying permission. He is in a world of trouble... The whole thing is going to turn on him now, if it hasn't already.

Where does that leave us? He's sold Essendon up the garden path, & probably us :(

Someone please post that link here - it's a very interesting story by the 7.30 Report.

Just picked up the paper? Wonder wot's on the front page? Influx of boat people? Nope! Carbon tax? Nope! Burgeoning national debt? Nope! NBN cost blowout? Nope! Craig Thompson? Nope! Why it's the Cronulla Sharks ASADA issue. Well done, Kate. Methinks there could be a little mention in the New Years Honours List in the offing.
Meanwhile, The Popper et al are reduced to tears.

Drop the paper and turn on News 24 on the ABC. Nothing what soever about the Sharks, its all about Essendon. Same as 7.30 last night.

Methinks the paper might just be playing to the market don't you think

Psssts and just for your info. just a little thang. There is no 'P' in Thomson. Although whoever signed a lot of the credit card stuff used the 'P' as in Thompson instead of Thomson. Easy mistake to make as you know.

Pop - forgot to ask. Did the papers have reporting about the Ashby and Harmer appeals that were heard yesterday. Final day today.

Its the one where the Federal Court Judge Rares had the scathing findings against both parties relating to conspiracy and due process against the 2nd highest position in our democracy.

narhhhhh probably not.

Just look up former Howard Minister and Liberal Candidate Mal Brough. You'll find Ashby and Harmer there.

The lawyers will love this one. WADA says talk to ASADA as they are more senior? FMD what a cluster flick.
Lets say Dank is working on Lleyton Hewitt who is a citazen of the Seychelle Islands & being treated by Dank & Usain Bolts physician from the West Indies?
Who does Dank apply to for information that a drug approved for use in those countries, is banned or not?

layers will be all over this & could spell the end of the enitre anti-doping structure world wide.
Particularly after the farce that is going on in Spain at present.

Its the end of WADA.

Well, let's just hope everything sorts itself OK in our case, Blacktip.
Couldn't find Ashby & Harmer in the paper, Quigs. Will Ashley & Martin do? But, even though my hair has thinned a little I've still got nearly all of it so I don't think I'll need those blokes just yet. But it has lost most of its colour though.

But be doesn't. He was instructed to contact ASADA & ask the question of them as there may be slight differences from country to country for the same thing.

Then he says thanks for pointing out it's not on the banned list & she clarifies by saying just because it's not on the list, doesn't mean it's approved & refer to section S0 for substances not yet approved.

He is a tool & his actions are killing us....hope he goes down to the bottom most point possible, because we are.

They were asked specifically if it appears on the world wide doping list, to which they replied contact Australia to see if a substance that is not banned worldwide is banned in Australia.
If you cannot see the absolute absurd ambiguity in that statement then I cant help you.
Lawyers will eat that up.

It seems to rest on whether Dank got approval from Wada or ASADA . At present that looks unlikely. That means ASADA have to prove we took it. Still seems to boil down to Dank's word against ours and Essendon. Oh forget , Irvine and Essendon already admitted. The Sharks was great fun once. "Beam me up Scotty"

Serious question. Can we help? The forum spends collective hours trying to analyse this crap for free. Can we channel our time and involvement in a useful way.

Most posts probably partially true. Only truth I see is it is a Labor stunt that has made Australia look like cheats worldwide. We are the new East Germany for those old enough to remember. Other truth , Dank looks dodgy. On the scale of possibilities we could get cleared by ASADA to the club folding and a lot in between. Personally, i believe we have made mistakes and we need to mitigate the damage.

Any bright ideas how we can help? Unfortunately mud sticks and we are covered in it. Any point joining forces with Essendon fans. They seem to have more clout as a club.

I think Essendon are in a lot deeper than us. Plenty of emails - txts and chemist conversations going on record.

And their contact time with Dank was a lot, lot longer than our paltry 3 months.
