It seems inevitable that some players will be suspended. These issues always take a scalp. We need to hope for a fix like the Melbourne Storm Salary Cap fiasco where the expendable CEO took the fall whilst the valuable coach and players got no penalty.

If current players are suspended that it would seem logical to expect significant compensation payments. The old lines of Sharks are broke and need to be relocated seem a bit of scaremongering. 2 years ago they would have been true but the club should be better positioned now.

No. Players cannot earn or sue from their prospective sporting bodies whatsoever if they are found guilty of doping. So far as whatever power these departments that implement them have.

If they are found guilty. Or not guilty! Sounds simple enough but are we to assume the process is akin to the statutory applications we all embrace and trust to come to a reasonable conclusion as to where the truth lies?

It's the burning question imo.

It's frustrating. I wrote to Lundy straight after the "darkest day in Australian sport" press conference. I published the reply here. It was a load of crap which I expected btw. None of the shit they went on with has been shown to be factual.

They happily cast aspersions of a very serious nature on Australian sport in general without specfics. This went viral round the world yet where is the evidence? You know that essential ingredient required to get a conviction in the vast majority of jurisdictions in the free world?

They shamed us before the global stage but so far all I've seen is references to "intelligence" which for them seems and ironic term!

intelligence is just the notion that you're aware of something or onto something that will require ongoing monitoring or investigation

and that's what is ridiculous about this whole process, if you've got intelligence, you would under normal circumstances stay covert about your information gathering and not go into the public arena like they have

I advised this week would be the week ASADA came out all over the press again, Tuesday night Budget night, and it will be a shocker, why does all the ASADA news come out same time Canberra wants to divert from yet another blunder.

As is say all we need to do is stick together come September ASADA will be told cease, the question ASADA wont answer is how much has thus investigation cost, they need to be upfront we want to know the cost to the taxpayer of this investigation

NRL will form a tribunal and decide that there are not enough hard facts "evidence" to issue infraction notices to any player

ASADA and the media will run a huge hate campaign, finger pointing exercise at the NRL saying they didn't cooperate with process as means to shift attention from their own failings and to justify the shit that we've all been put through in the last few months

Neither. Plain and simple they haven't got them. Press will eventually turn on ASADA when they come up with zip.

What gets me is we are bearing all the legal costs for all teams in all codes. They can just use us as a precedent at no cost. That is obvious. Surely the NRL should be helping us with this. But if the boss doesn't know who Ben Barba is perhaps he doesn't know we are being hammered by legal costs.

It appears that all the peps that Sharks players may have used & also essendon, are not covered by any ASADA catch all. ASADA have been saying that they are caught by the catchall they are nto approved for human use.
Well, it appears they are approved in Australia for cosmetic use & they were not on the banned list until 2012 & 2013.
& Dank has said all long, even if they are on the banned list, WADA will ahve to prove how these substances increase perfrmance in elite athletes.
