If the entries were marked you wouldn't be able to use them again. You obviously put a lot of effort into your articles, it would be a shame to waste them on a non event. Better to keep them handy and use them in the season proper. The refs are just trying to ensure you get value for your efforts.

lol. Strictly speaking the Warriors, as PVP Plate winners, have to issue the challenge and its up to the undefeated PVP Shield winners the Sharks if they wish to accept.

Last season, the Bulls and the Raiders played their PVP Cup final in conjunction with the first round of the F7s premiership. Offcourse this depends on the make up of the 2006 comp.
