History of the town they call Penrith Part 2
737 Words
A history of the Penrith Panthers. Trying to put substantial content into something like this to make it interesting reading is always going to be difficult with a 750 word limit. It suffered because of that, in that each year is very brief. Maybe doing something like a history could be spread over 3 or 4 articles, so that more content from each year could be added. The writer researched the piece well. Some minor spelling errors that were not penalised.

I had difficulty scoring this one. A good subject but was lacking in construction, with a couple of contradictions in the Lance Thompson case, one paragraph had him not honouring his contract, and another had the club at fault. All the ingredients are there; just a little more time spent on tidying it up would have seen a better score.

Close game. The Knights were very consistent across the board, the sharks showed that little extra flair with two pieces that stood out.

Well done to CWB's Knights. Worthy runners up. I hope next year they can go the next step - third times the charm - as long as it isn't against us.

Thanks Antonius for marking.

Cheers goes out to every Shark player involved in all three games of the Possibles v Probables series. With this mighty start, as captain, I hope I can bring you more fortune in the season to come. I hope you are all as keen to take part and write as great articles in 2006 as you did in these PvPs. :b:s all round.

Well bloody done Sharks. Well done.

Great work Sharks on a very well deserved victory. Enjoy your shield... cos we're coming to get it off you next year!

Commiserations to our boys. We tried our best lads, some top efforts in there. We'll be better for the experience come the start of the real season.

Cheers to antonius for the quick and fair marking effort.

PVP runners up for the second year running, I can't say I'm at all disappointed with that record. Excellent effort by the Sharks, who showed that extra flair when it was needed. A good, solid mark from our boys and we'll definitely make waves in this year's competition if we continue to produce results like that.

Figures that my first sub 90 mark of the post season comes when I least need it
