Sos kicking game for a nsw cup 7 who is on a tenth of what nathan is was very very good this year.

He has a good understanding of when what style of kick is needed. He doesnt have the length of nath or the execution but he does seem to know what kick is needed most of the time.

Rubbish re naths kicks landing on the 10m line. Deadset rubbish. So many of his mid field bombs land on the 20.

Did you read my post? As i was making the point naths avg mid field bombs havent been an issue cause we basically have won all year. But its in the tough games where it has been shown up.

Origin was just a classic example.. he really did get owned in the kicking department by hunt and dce.

Thats not to say i think they are better kickers than him. I think hes one of the best kickers in the cop. But this mid field bomb strategy needs to go or at least get it right and actually land them 5m out and kick with a bit of variety.

Its not a tactic hes done the previous 2 years.. no idea why they have started doing it this year.. coming out of our end kicking sos hasnt done it at all..hes just kicked to try find the grass.. we havent missed the mid field bombs in his naths absence.

The attitude that is hasnt lost us any games is ridiculous. Should always always be aiming to be better and hes kicking game this year is seriously nowhere near the past few years.
The peaheart forwards got "owned" in origin 3

The bulk of SOS long kicking from anywhere near our 40 has been mid field bombs. Yes he had some nice long kicks against Parra and a 40/20 against south’s I think and he’s done pretty well overall but he does plenty of midfield bombs watch that first half against the cows it was almost all bombs.

You said Nathan’s kicking game has been the main reason we lost some of the big games I’m just asking which ones? Kicking wasn’t the reason we lost the second Parra game so are you saying it was the first Parra game?

I would like to see Nath kick long early is sets more besides that I think he does his kicking pretty well. The bombs were a big part of last year definitely. Watch our last 3 games Nathan was bombing a lot in those games landing them in that 10m zone and letting the defence go to work, it’s not new.

Hope ivans rewatched the 2nd 40 against parra from the last time we played them this year.

Thats how to beat them.

You mean hope that they switch off after they put a beating on us? Whilst that 2nd half was a brave effort, you can’t take it too seriously as an indicator for how we should play.

From a technical point we can't take much but we took more out of that game than they did. We hit the lead and apply pressure and they'll fold imo

The key to beating the Panthers is to score on us heavily in the 1st 25 minutes which is when we are at our weakest. Since we aren’t accustomed to it we tend to get a little shell shocked by it. Parra is the type of team that can score quickly and in bunch in attack. They have forward power to match us and offloads which is they key to breaking down our defence.

I agree that we can grind them but only if we don’t allow them to get a big head start. They have hit great form just at the right time, whilst our form is impossible to judge given all the interruptions. If we play to our potential or even 9/10 we beat them.

The mountain men are fresh. Parra played their grand final last week. Its finals time and we all know what Parra does in the finals. Enjoy next week off

Penrith won the Sg Ball.

You'd think they are favourites for Nsw cup and Nrl.

And in the last 4 for Jersey Flegg. The Roosters seem like good things there.

But it is possible Penrith take out all 4. Would that be a first in Nrl history?

Roosters have hit a wall in Flegg, Wouldn't surprise me if Knights get them this week

Roosters in 2002 won the top 3 but no one has done 4

Pissing down with rain too... So will show those prentender Eels up big time
No team who has beaten us near full strength the past 3 seasons is a pretender. Eels haven't been as consistent as us. But on their day they're a fantastic team.

We haven't played our best every week. But we play well enough that teams can't fluke a win against us when we're near full strength.

This game has vibes of the 1 v 4 game last year everyone talked up Manly and Melbourne gave them a lesson.

Re watch the Round 9 game. After Taylan scores we go away from our game plan this is the game when we had no Ivan or Ciraldo, So I am not sure the bench was used properly

It was 16-10 included the Penalty try to Mahoney.

Taylan scored in the 53rd minute. The next set we get an early 6 again then JFH does a stupid offload and turns it over

It goes

Set restart to them
Penalty to them
Set restart
Try
Next set they put the kick and Edwards lets it bounce and they score

We had the ball for 4 tackles in that 10 min period, That was where the game was lost

The 2nd time of course the send off but again the possession in the 1st half was something crazy their way.

We did make a few errors but so did they. Offloads were 13-0 their way that was the major difference

So being a wet track stops the offloads
