I am also really sick of the “Pretenders” vibe many are running with and the “only storm and roosters can win” narrative.

Every “expert“ in the game has handed out back hand compliments all year, it’s been tongue-in-cheek when talking about the finals as if everyone secretly knows Penrith will fail.

The lip service Storm and Roosters get as well as to players like Teddy, SBW and Smith, honestly makes me nauseous at times.
They get treated as if every bit of luck is a plan, their skill is untouchable while every other team is just lucky to be playing them.


Panthers are not just a blip on the radar, we are here to take over, our players are hungrier, happier and have far to much swagger to disappear quietly.
A lot of people will be eating some humble pie, and I reckon we will be serving it out for a long time.

Huge game and the only one that isn't easy to pick week 1 of finals.

Winner goes to week 3 and likely has a fairly easy game against Souths to make the grand final. Although Eels might beat Souths week 2 in which case its an even easier game.

Loser of this game likely has to go through Raiders and Storm to have a chance face the winner of this game in the grand final. Pretty tough run to a grand final for the loser.

Funny thing after Ikin called our game he said he now understood the Panthers and is a convert believing they can win it. He said seeing them live is a totally different experience hearing the talk in attack and defence and how United they are in everything they do on and off field.

Yeah surprised how many teams don't have a good 5th tackle kicker. It's so important to the point you can't win without it.

Has there been any confirmation that the capacity at Penrith will be increased to 50% in line with the big stadiums for this game? It was mooted when ANZ etc were upped that smaller grounds would hopefully go up for the finals if things went well and they have. Would be shame to only have a few thousand for this game.

Did the Roosters throw the game, were their heads a week ahead? Trent Robinson said after the game "you don't just lose form overnight" and I agree. They have been the best team for a month or more. I expect them to come out hard and focused on Friday night. I also expect the Panthers to do the same. Gunna be a good one!

wow. I was scared for a second that I would miss out because I had forgotten to make a ticketek account but I made one really quick and snagged 2 tickets. Sorry that you couldn’t get any

I also there for 91 and 03. I remember how everyone was waiting for us to fall in 03 as well. Said we wouldn't get the minor premiership and when we did, said no way we can win premiership...the rest is history.

Just like those years, I'm not going to be conservative in how ppl expect me how to barrack for my side. As a supporter, it's a long time in between drinks, and you simply don't know when an amazing season like this will happen again. So shoutout hard and go for the Panthers, and take no notice of the doubters. We already have had a winning season.
