QF1 Panthers vs Roosters

I'd usually accept and believe the drawback about not being battle hardened. It was certainly true during the 2016-18 period. There were some great moments but I really never had the confidence we could take out the premiership. I would include 2010 as well, a second place finish but not close to a contender.

There is a clear difference this year. The team wants to finish the job in regular matches. There is a steel in the side that wasn't there under Griffin. We aren't certain to win the comp but we are 100% a chance unlike previous years. Its IMO our best year of football since 2004.

Quality over quantity. We don't have a lot of experienced players but the guys that are there have either won premierships or played/won rep games.

While some commentators feel we don't have enough players with finals experience i think the best approach we can take is the one we have - to treat it as just another game. The big match experience is about nerves - and while we will be put to the test - our coaching team will have us prepared as much as possible and there's a pretty good chance we'll come through with flying colours, or else we'll learn a hell of a lot (how else do we get our big game experience) - the way the Parra game was a turning point for us.

Today is National LU Moderator Day and I came across this posted elsewhere.

I expect the roosters to go the full 60 minutes.

Hence the smug will leak into the game and it will all be over.

The roosters only hope is one of those lap-top tackles on chin junior!

Take a punt, Rooster can’t or won’t play for more than 60 minutes which they think should be enough to beat Penrith. JWH gets Cleary in a crusher tackle.

Close, but according to my translator machine it was that the roosters will be in the game for 60 minutes before the smug overcomes them for a panther victory.

Unless someone can put a big hit on Nate and put him off his game. That’s been the secret to spoiling the panther show. Only Bellamy and I advocate hard tackling styles to promote victory.

I agree with the 60 minute part, not wishing injury on a player I don't.

Wait... you had to translate your own post?

Well if that doesn't scream "multiple personalities" I don't know what does.

On only two occasions in 20 rounds of the regular season have the Panthers conceded more than 14 points, and one of those was way back in March against the Dragons before the competition was suspended.

There was a third as well. The match against the Eels that we lost. They got us on the back of a mountain of second half possession and a couple of critical errors.

Quality over quantity. We don't have a lot of experienced players but the guys that are there have either won premierships or played/won rep games.

A team of champions vs a champion team.
