I think it depends on what type of team they are going for. The good thing is the Blues have widely been regarded in recent years as the team with more attacking flair but with the likes of Hunt, Slater, Berrigan, Tate, Lockyer and Bowen I think marroons will have the greater attcking flair. They certainly have a heap of depth.

Fullback:
Schifcofske
Wesser
Hunt
Slater
Bowen

Wing:

Sing
Slater
Ty Williams

Centre:

Berrigan
Tate
Hodges
Bowmen
Hannay

Personally I would go with:

1.Hunt
2.Slater
3.Berrigan
4.Tate
5.Sing
6.Lockyer
7.Prince

17.Bowmen

Is Nathen Fein eligible? If so, if he holds his form he must be an outside chance in the halves.

I would say if FIT Brett Seymour will get the halfback spot, regradless of how well Prince has played this year.

My backline would be

Hunt
Sing/Slater
Tonga
Berrigan
Tate/Slater
Lockyer
Seymour

Thoughts??

I might have Bowen ahead of Hunt, but otherwise that's what I'd have.

Bell should have been there this year he is the most underated player in rugby league he is very consistend, good speed, and very rarely takes the wrong option.

Bell has been a very good player in the past, but with the quality QLD centers right now, i doubt he wil get in. Bowman, Tonga, Tate and Berrigan are ahead of him.

Paul Bowman is the best centre in the world at the moment and should be the first person chosen in any team. He has never let Queensland down before and never will.

Bowman is the best defencive centre, not sure about attack though.

In Origin 2 this year he was playing the the forwards while Matty Bowen was on the wing in defense and he just clocked up the tackles. I was suprised, initially, that Bowman got the nod ahead of Hannay (for his goal kicking obviously) but once they had Cameron Smith they had a recognised goal kicker so maybe he (Bowman) was in fact selected as a specialist defensive centre. Hannay does have a bit more vision in attack (from what I've seen of him)...I think he was VERY unlucky to have that try disallowed last nite.

IMHO I think Cowboys players will dominate the QLD backline next year and I personally don't think Slater will get a run, his defence on the wing isn't up to it and Bowen has it all over him at fullback.

1.Bowen
2.Williams
3.Tate
4.Bowman
5.Sing

Throw into the mix Hodges, Hegarty, Tonga, Hunt, Berrigan and Wesser, QLD look very good!
