Firstly people seem to be making out that because NSW don't get recognition for having spirit, that means Qld's spirit is a myth. There two different things.

Secondly I would have thought it was pretty obvious why there is a greater focus on Qld's passion. NSW has about 2 million more people than Qld and a far greater pool of players to draw on. Therefore the fact that in 26 years they've both basically won the same number of games and series, suggests that Qld have played above their weight.

hmmm thats total population but i bet if u compared the number of juniors or whatever you would have pretty similar numbers. we have a pretty strong rugby union culture in sydney with all the private schools...that takes boys away from league.

We have the same thing in Brisbane with the GPS. Theres a ton of young league players that get offered scholarships at Union schools. The Broncos seem quite good at poaching them back though, like when they got Hunt from Churchie.

Congratulations Qld, they took their chances and won the game and the series and deserve credit. I was just p*ssed off at the immature tools on here heaping sh*t on the Blues when they nearly won a series when they had like the likes of Finch and Anasta at 6 and 7 for 2 of 3 games.
