QLD Team 2017

I'd like to think Luke Bateman would be in the mix. Without Parker and Scott an edge backrower like Ethan Lowe is not much use. Being utility value and covering the centre position is not really necessary. Bateman has shown over the last twelve months that nobody runs over the top of him and he has been more value to his team than a regular first grader like Fensom.

I was ready to put Myles out to pasture before last night. If he can repeat that effort in 3 of the next 6 games, give him one last origin

When they choose 17 for Australia in a couple weeks, we may only get 7 or 8 in. Sad when we dominate every year.

If jt is not fit, maybe only Thaiday, papalii, Gillett, Cronk, boyd and cam Smith with Chambers a slight chance

Tbh there's not that many NSW backs that are pushing for selection atm - Dugan has been shit, same with Ferguson and Jennings. Mansour is injured and Moylan hasn't really done himself any favours with his night out. Only real guy pushing for selection is Tedesco but he's got how many players ahead of him in terms of seniority.

Jonathan Thurston will only be out for three to four weeks and the first game is on May 31st. I think it's more then likely Thurston will be playing. It would have been interesting to see how Morgan went starting at five-eight though. I'd imagine though Cooper Cronk would taken over the bulk of the kicking duties and Morgan would have had a similar role as a running five-eight that he has at club level.

Morgan hasn't really been the organiser so far for us. Just give him the ball let him run with it and let jt tell the other backs on the other side what the next play is.

Not saying he can't do it, just hasn't been his main role

morgan has been punted from halves duty before at the cows, shifted to fullback before JT got more hands on with the ball.

Hess starting for the next few weeks will be interesting, he looks like he was born for Origin.

JT will be touch and go, calf injuries can be re-injured so easily.

His competitiveness will keep him on the field
