Definitely. Walters has said on many occasions that Smith, Cronk et al have vouched for certain players over others. He listens and takes it to the table. There's no doubt that the senior players have some sway.

He's obviously a good club player he just hasn't done well when started.
It's not like he's the cog to an important win, we need the forwards to aim up.
I was LESS than impressed with Glasby but am willing to give him another try.

Yep, Hunt being picked over DCE has confirmed that the players don't like DCE for mine.

And the general public. No doubt DCE is smart, but he annoyingly sits on the fence when asked any controversial questions, he has a cheesy smile on his face, but looks like the first guy who would dob you in to the coach if you did something wrong. The goodie goodie two shoes at school, who his school mates would love to give a beating too.

I think he is a very good half, and deserves selection, but I can see why he would be disliked by his teammates.

But he'll play the same role as morgan does when there isn't an injury - coming on for a backrower and primarily running. This is what he can do better than DCE.
