Sydney Harbour was the first settlement and became the major city.We can blame one person Cpn Flip.Who wait for it happened to be a Pom.
Our early development and planning was by whom? Poms.
QED I blame all of our infrastructure ,planning on Poms.
And we get a Pom calling Sydney a sh*t city !! And they gave us the innovative meal Fish & Chips
If the Romans had gotten here first,we'd have big crowd arenas all around the city.

What a sht city Sydney is! It shouldn’t take 90mins to travel 20kms lol
I’m 20/25km s from hbf park and Optus and can be there in 40mins on public transport. Why? Because we build stadiums on train lines. Uber or drive to local train station within 10mins, 25min train ride, short walk to stadium. It’s not fcking hard nsw govt!
How an afl fan living 4000kms away knows anything about Sydney except for what they Google is beyond me.

Sydney has got one great thing about it that makes it shit over Perth.

You don't live there.

Sydney is probably one of it not the most beautiful cities in the world

it’s made australia famous around the world

no tourist visits Australia to go see a dump like Melbourne or a country town like Perth

the best city in the world is home to the greatest game. Without the nswrl the game would be a joke

No the harbours nice after that its just like any other city but with crappier housing and worse traffic. Nice for a weekend but wouldn't want to live there sums it up.

at least we can actually get around our city! And build stadiums where it makes sense.

Perth is the place people go when they want to ditch planes in the ocean and nobody can ever find them

one of the most isolated cities on earth

meanwhile everyone wants to visit Sydney for Bondi beach, the opera house, the Bridge etc

funny thing is Bondi beach probably isn’t even in the top five of Sydney beaches. Sydney has some amazing beaches in the harbour which most people wouldn’t know about

there’s places like the blue mountains and 3 sisters too which you’ve probably never heard about

and of course we are the home of rugby league lol

Just you wait till the zombie attack, we'll be laughing then.

Like I said nice for a weekend but you couldnt pay me to live somewhere you cant travel 20km in 90mins off peak and that requires you living in a little box if you want to be anywhere near the beach or city and arent mega rich. Each to their own.

I think its fair to say Brisbane is the home of RL in reality.

So if we are demanding a minimum of 6 stadiums just for rugby league, you can't blame the government and compare it to a state that has a total of 4 across all major sports.

The NRL choosing to have clubs in particular suburbs isn't the government's problem.

Part of the government's problem was that Homebush wasn't built as a rectangular ground straight after the Olympics. Instead we have a ground where with many seats, you are too far away from the game.

If it was built correctly to suit the needs for rectangular codes, then the NRL wouldn't be on a war path with the NSW government for certain suburban grounds to get upgraded.

And who knows, you might've had another team, along with Canterbury and Souths playing out at Accor.

That’s fair

I haven’t been to a beach in almost ten years lol

there are decent places close to the beach reasonably priced north and south of Sydney

but you do know the nswrl rules the world of rugby league

the broncos were an amalgamation of the entire brl

you really should learn some of the history of the nswrl it would help you greatly understand the competition today lol

Even in rectangular mode clubs with a 15k crowd avg playing in a 80k stadium is always going to be horrible. Accor should be for special occasions only.

Build a southern sydney stadium for dogs, sharks and dragons, Souths to allianz, tigers to Commbank.
That sorts out most of the sydney clubs with just one new stadium extra needed. But no, they'll stay in their hovels with their 12-16k crowd avg's and moan the govt isnt helping them.

Balmain to Allianz 9km
Manly to Allianz 16km
Belmore to Allianz 19km
Kogorah to Allianz 15km

It's easy to get around Perth because the bogans that call it home are always away up the mines pillaging the natural resources and then are too drunk in the casino to clog up the roads on their week off.
