Think that's about the team we will get .
I'm no fan of Friend so my only change would be
9.Hunt.
14.C.Norman..if he keeps playing well .

I can live with this but find a different middle forward as 18th man

This team smashes nsw if Angus is chosen. He is getting slow and ordinary this year

NSW carried him and still got the series. Like playing with 16 it was. Then there was Peachey. May as well call it 15.

Hopefully Freddie decides to go with a full team this year.

I doubt Matt Scott makes the team let alone is given the captaincy. Scott is no longer even captain for the Cowboys. Scott makes no sense and Queensland would be looking for a long term captain that takes over the rein for the next couple of years. I've haven't seen Matt Gillett name mentioned in the reports.

If the captaincy is given to Daly Cherry-Evans then Queensland would have to lock him in at the half back position for the next couple years. That might make some bristle who could like the flexibility of chopping and changing the half-back spot. Paul Gallan and Boyd Cordner at times have had their position in the NSW team protected because of the captaincy despite criticism of their selection at times during their careers.

It was reported in the Courier Mail Kevin Walters is mulling three candidates for captain. Daly Cherry-Evans, Michael Morgan, and Jake Friend. They suggest in the article it most likely will be Cherry-Evans.

With DCE set to miss game one Queensland have the option of moving hunt into halves and picking a substandard hooker. Or they move Morgan into halves, which would likely mean gagai into centre.

Very few wingers available due to injuries, personally I think Corey Thompson is the man for the Job.

Daly Cherry-Evans could miss Game One after undergoing surgery on his ankle after suffering an ankle syndesmosis strain against Canberra. Initially it was believed the injury would keep him out for four weeks which would have given Daly just enough time to recover. However, it's now believed six weeks would be pushing it, all but ending Cherry-Evans' hopes of leading the Maroons out at Suncorp Stadium for Game I on June 5th.

In other injury news, Ben Hunt will be right to play this week for the Dragons despite coming off the field early in his side's loss against the Sydney Roosters. Ben Hunt suffered a knock to his shoulder, but he's set to be named for this week's clash against the Eels.
