Queensland need bigger backs

SOO is psychological.

QLD picked a backline that wasn't attacking. EG, MAtt Sing - wonderful attacker, wonderful defender. Who set up his attack? No - one.

I like Bowen - tuogh performer in Origin. However, by picking him, QLD are saying "we are scared of NSW's firepower, and must pick a defensive side to have any hope.

Sacrifice Bowman and Berrigan (he's useless anyway) for say Tate, Hodges or Tonga, and use Billy on the wing, you can at least fire back.

Queensdland are st their best when they have fast, elusive men. I recall dale Shearer coming back from oblivion and blowing NSW apart. Today's Dale Shearer is Rhys Wesser.

That's what i thought.

He played for the QLD schoolboys side.

From Melbourne Storm Website:

Career
Greg started playing rugby league with the Bowraville Tigers, and from an early age it was clear he was a player of some ability. He was signed by Storm at a junior carnival on the NSW North Coast at 15, before moving to Brisbane to complete his schooling. Was selected for Queensland and Australian schoolboys sides and then under-17s and Junior Kangaroos. Was a member Brisbane Norths U-19s Colts premiership winning side last year and he also made his senior debut as a 17-year-old with the Devils in 2004. He scored a total of six tries in his first 2 games.

My mistake, however keep in mind, O'Davis played NSW Schoolboys before representing Queensland. Sonny Bill represented NSW Schoolboys as well.

...or some forwards that will actually work..

Ultimately this is the issue. Forwards that go forward in attack and swarm in defense. This will make the backs more effective, especially if the backs are themselves the right combination.

True.

I think this is one of those cases where NSW-QLD will argue over his eligibility for their respective states.

For the sake of Origin let's hope he chooses QLD.
