Question about Rules - putting ball down.

Can a player just put the ball down during play? Would it be called as a knock-on?

Wrong forum mate :lol:. In answer to your question, I don't think it is, but try asking in the NRL forum (Just below these, about 5 down) we have a few real refs in there.

If he places the ball directly to his side, or behind him, then it would definately be play-on. If he places the ball in front of him, then it would be a knock-on.
