Question.

I know it's presumptuous, and I know we're still not there, but I've always held the idea that if we win the GF, Dragons fans should storm the field 'Old School' and chair the players off.

Is that allowed? And have any of the NRL teams in the last 10 years had that happen?

Let's storm the field and all do semi naked pushups instead.

But no it's not allowed, too much liability for injury from thousands of people rushing the joint.

It would be impossible for them to stop, and I'm not sure I could hold myself back if we won the bloody thing. I'm surprised not many have tried it in recent years. First things first though.

Of course, we have to win it to storm the castle so to speak. But I asked because I think that, should we do it, could you really hold yourself back?

2 grand fine or not, I don't think anyone would be upset with us if AFTER the game we stormed the field simply to show our passion for the team. Realistically, we're not disrupting anything.

**Touches wood** Make sure you're at the Taj after the game, & don't let the players feet touch the ground... Anyone else going to the GF lunch?

Is that why the Gummysharks have been walking around red-faced for two weeks?

Or are they just perpetually embarrassed?

To which are you referring da_sharks?

Wests Tigers 34 - Gummies 18
Souths 24 - Gummies 14
Wests Tigers 46 - Gummies 6 (Oh what a day!)
Souths 26 - Gummies 22 ???

da_sharks... you remember our agreement about you trolling? Consider yourself on wood.

Attempt to hi-jack one more Saints-related thread and you'll be booted out, never to return.

C*nterbury fans carried their players off the field in their last game in the Wooden Spoon year...

Are you still going on about that?

I doubt that the Wastes Tuggers are only using $1.625 million dollars of their salary cap. Are you that f**king stupid?

Sharks fans will convince themselves of anything to escape the reality of 39 years with no payoff.

Forget the trolls, they only breed (like half-rate video stars) on a diet of attention.

As to the question:
I've always been an advocate of the after match field rush. I think it is ultimately successful if it is enmasse.

There is incredible safety and no arrests if it's total - the security can't handle it and if everyone doesn't resist any initial 'arrests', but swarms the place - the coppers/security end up going "Oh bugger, let 'em go - there's too many" and thus, there are no problems.

I tried through forums to stir it up at R2K matches but if everyone hangs back (me included) no one goes forward.

We need a starter pack, sort of the equivalent of a coupla' snorts (in the fifties sense) on leaving for party.

Its difficult.

I'd like to know why it is that one member gets threatens with expulsion for trying to wreck a perfectly good thread and yet this somehow doesn't apply to the next troll.

steveb69, consider that your first and last post in this Dragons forum.

Chair the players off? They've got to get the trophy first!

I think it should be left up to the players to enjoy the moment, and it's a bit impractical with a non-partisan crowd and the lack of a Wembley walk up.

The best pitch invasion I've seen was when Armagh won the All-Ireland for the first time.
