There are things you can do to force the defence to commit and hopefully make an error but it requires more cohesion than our playmakers currently have.

I think trying to bend them back and get a quick play-the-ball was our best option under the circumstances. Newcastle were just too good.

I disagree, We weren't that good against Manly. It was a start but they weren't that much better last week. Still had the ridiculous case of making a line break then the winger running from dummy half or a forward settler.

last thing, i know it won't fix EVERYTHING but gee we miss Benny Smith in defence. he's a good defender and also runs hard and still has some attack in him. He would be much better coming off the bench than Lasalo

Our U20s forwards are very young. There are a few with real potential but I'm not sure they would be ready. Wehbe has been good this year but I still worry about him. Vescio is a real dynamo, I like his attitude, may be worth a shot but will this solve our problem?

Bringing young players in when they are not ready doesnt give us a glimpse of how they will go in a few years time when they are actually ready for FG, it just tears down their confidence and gives fodder to the deathriders on here about how our "young guns" are overrated.
