And btw, I’ve sort of been away from the forum a bit, I just can’t handle the constant negativity that comes out.

but well done to the boys. Would have been so easy to slip to a bad loss in this one. It’s not easy to be constantly putting in the effort and not getting rewarded. It’s not easy to loose so many players thru injury, it’s not easy to digest all the negative media, and yet remain in the fight. Great effort!

I know were very limited in spots for 2026, someone few days ago said 4 left . Finau leaving makes it 5.
as you said I don’t think another year for Klemmer is that bad at a cheap price. Weekly he’s our top meter eater (yes sometimes at 110m) but still tops it.
though I also think Molo played a great game again.
Quite a few decision to make, obviously we aren’t going to sign 5 players /superstsrs . So some may have to be retained.
im thinking a winger & forward will get signed then the rest will be within /upgrades UNLESS we get rid of lawrie , Rav
According to zero tackles squad list we have 26 signed for next year which includes Finau leaving.

Decisions also need to be made on whether to offer another year to Allan and Klemmer (assume Fifita and Molo will be let go).

Extension for Stewart is required as he's only signed to 2026 with player option for 2027 apparently so that's a big one.

So getting a bit tight with all these kids being signed to the top 30. Any incomings need to be absolute top draw.

Also, hoping this win will shut, Anasta the merkin, up for a few weeks!!!
So here's the thing... Anasta has said "he loves Locky like a son".... Sound familiar? l am guessing Shane knows how this feels. I don't mind Anasta representing his client - but l struggle to understand how our own supporters fall for the 'shell game'... We have Flano Junior; LKT; Glover and Locky. to be honest there is a split match between them all in pros and cons. I picked up a couple of things that might decide which way to turn. Vossy's The Fan run a "who would be the player most likely to become a 1st grade footy coach"... our players to a man suggested that Junior Flan is our man. During the run home last year LKT showed he had the toughness to play FG. He has come along this year and when it came decision time he did decide to stay (admittedly he did sign with Newcastle but stayed when told he was still in the mix and was wanted). I don't mind the push to give Glover a run (to see what he's got) but seriously he is gonna look out of place because he is too small and shows no sign of being a tackling demon. Locky was trialled at Souths and they could see him out the door quick enough. Our club gave him a run and he was still the same player that Souths had. I don't fall for the media campaign to select the side for SF. l accept that SF and KF have the same last name - l would expect that the player to replace KF would need to be a lot better - not just same/same. And l think LKT is the future... at least until Atkinson is accessed

I noted tonight that Anasta does " love Locky like a son".

Not one mention of the Dragons win, not one mention of Kyle's game and no replays of those spectacular sideline conversions in appalling weather.

Yes Bwaiffe, I guess nepotism doesn't necessarily mean blood relative!

From all reports on 360, the weather made the Raiders play badly...all the other teams that won on the weekend were really good.
There was even a goal kicking highlight section on one show where they showed the Raiders holding the ball onto the tee, the NRLW getting a kick through, but no mention of Kyles amazing sideline conversions.

Kronk even said that the weather made the good teams and the bad teams closer.
No mention of the fact that we should have won a few weeks ago against the raiders in Canberra in fine weather.

On Fox you have Anasta bias for the Souths/Dogs/Roosters and his clients, then you watch Ch9 and its Gould with his Bulldog agendas.
Gould is such a downer on that show, he shuts down all discussion the others bring up unless it fits in with him and his role at the dogs. Don't know how the others can tolerate him.

And to all those who want to shaft Kyle......who is left to kick goals? Most of our close games have been won and lost by goalkicking. Maybe if Kyle had been our first choice goalkicker this year, we'd be comfortably in the 8. Winning breeds success and the vibe around the club would have been entirely different.

And that's why calling for Kyle to be dropped is moronic thinking. Remember a bloke called Herron?

LKT play in the first 10mins was superb, multiple short kicks leading to raiders being caught in goal & then a sublime pass to feagai leading to a try. He was fantastic this game. Glad we persisted with him.
Finally the kicking game was better from the 6&7 than just getting tackled on the last, kicks in goal did build pressure, luckily Fogarty kicked long so we get the ball back.
I feel a lot of the time the strategy of kicking in goal to get a repeat set is not as good as it used to be due to the rule changes, teams often do a short drop out and if they get the ball back, takes away all the effort of building pressure.
with these 6 agains, short kick offs, short drop outs the game can swing very quickly.

Max , mate ,the majority of them are nothing more than a pack of hypocrites. Each adheres to the the edict of their respective channel of praising the top teams whenever possible and down trodding the lesser lights of the competition.

The channel themselves adhere to the NRL’s golden rule of not shedding too much light upon the elite teams lacklustre performances and as such the so called commentators of the league shows very rarely give praise to where it is due .

Hence Baaaithes not recognising the Dragons nor Kyle winning performances .

Jeeze that was rather long winded , all just to say that Anasta does have no idea what he is talking about !
