Sometimes you need to change/swap players with better ones to get better results ! That's what the Dogs did with Galvin > Sexton and good on them for doing it. Same with Ryles, dropping Dylan Brown with a player who's going to be there for the long haul is going to pay dividends in the long run. These are important decisions that need to be made by the coach, who is the leader of the football team, to keep winning.

Flanno lacks the courage to do this, which says a lot about his character and demeanour. There's always an opportunity cost with every decision he makes. By selecting player A over player B, can limit our team's ability to win. Also inserting the right player at the right time also influences the flow and outcome of the game. Tonight was a good example of this with Liddle coming in late. Since the team won, these will be glossed over but these points are critical indicators when assessing how he's travelling as the HC.

I'm pleased we won with the desperation defence we displayed but it's uninspiring football !
Solid effort 2 negative posts after a win, you must be fun at chocolate parties.

Gee it’s hard to make us fans happy.

Great win tonight and good show of grit and determination - with the season essentially over it’s awesome to see the players still putting in a big effort. Klemmer great & well done KF - copped a lot of flak but keeps showing up and defends well. Definitely has a future playing 9/utility. Feagai has always been a better centre than winger.

What about the commentators crapping on about us taking the 2 in the first half. It's fine when they did it in the 2nd half.

It was the smart thing to do. Warriors had a chance in their game late in the second half, but instead went for a try (which they didn't get). 2 minutes later the Dolphins scored the match winner. So the DRagons did the right thing.

I dont give a toss about the horrendous weather conditions as both teams had to play in it.....it was a gutsy win for our blokes against the top of the table team......after another disappointing season to date it was bloody nice to come away with the 2 points after losing so many by small margins....credit goes to Flanno for keeping the boys competitive so late in the season when obviously the semis are long gone.....there wasn't a player out there for us imo that didn't at least have a crack.....nice to see Sele back on deck and hopefully he will have better days injury wise in the future.....Molo, Feiga, Suli and Guiler tried hard al night......looking to next season we will be hoping our younger brigade that unfortunately had season ending injuries will right for 2026

I was thinking the same thing, thought Feagai went well at centre. Just putting out there but could we play Suli as a middle next year? I remember Rubin Wiki made the move and became a better player.

Great win well deserved congrats to all concerned.

Somewhat an ugly game in super tough conditions but they had a real dig and toughed it out including some absolute shockers from the ref and the bunker.

Looking at the obvious limitations so much of our squad have I thought Molo really surpassed himself with a top shelf performance.

Will be interested to see how the Raiders handle the loss.

Great win, and great read in this thread....all the doom and gloom, and wrist slitting on all pages up until we got in front in the second half, hahaha. And have to feel for this guy....
I’m changing teams. Can’t support this rabble anymore. Take care gents
....which team did you switch to, mate?

Oh, and imagine what the score could have been if we had a real NRL halfback like Ilias out there today, hey Braith
