It comes as Jack De Belin was relegated to the Eels’ extended six-man bench for their Round 3 clash with his former team St George Illawarra at CommBank Stadium on Sunday.

Just wondering where those fans are who said we will regret letting him go. Whoever couldn’t see he was struggling laterally last year wasn’t watching close enough ..

I think our 9-13 is much better than Parra’s

They’ve leak quite a lot of points & thought we attacked quite well against Melb.

I think we will win comfortably

I repeat again that our supporters are seen as anything but true supporters within the game. We used to have our Army stand under a sign of "True Believers". Can you imagine how big that sign would need to be now... True Believers except if the coach has a son in the team; or if we lose a game in extra time... and it must be bad coaching and game plans if our players drop a ball or miss a tackle.
Imagine how much we could bag off Ezra Mamm if he played for us... or kick Mitch Barnett because he is slow and doesn't have a passing game.
My point is.... this is the team we were born to follow (most likely)... and yes it hurts deeply when we lose. That is the price one must pay to claim they have passion. But just like you have some right to constantly go on and on about the short falls of our club; l too have a right to voice what true supporters would view about a cancer trying to eat away at the club's passion - that - we are jack of listening to the constant public hammering of our club from people under the cloak of being supporters of our club. If you really have something constructive to add get down to training and run it past the boys... or head to the administrative offices to lead the revival - because actions speak louder than constant criticism... I clearly have a different view to you... and enjoy calling myself a Dragon and yes I look for the good in our team.
Probably the best post I’ve read all season!
Win lose or draw I support the club. Would love more wins but they’re Coming! We’re back on the way up!

Parra will absolutely decimate us. Shane got Kyle a nice cushy contract until the end of f**king 2027! Honestly he adds more pressure to Atko, Kyle has hand enough games and enough chances in the halves now how about we see what happens when he isn't in the starting squad? You know Shane would probaboy hope we played shit if Kyle didn't start, he would love that. Kyle needs a helping hand to stay in first grade. Shane hasn't f**king ONCE dropped Kyle in his whole tenure here. Blame every single person else but Kyle, ah Shane doesnt have the integrity to be upfront and honest. He shouldn't even be allowed to coach another NRL team after what happened in 2014. The dragons are dying a slow death unfortunately

I agree with everything you say. People on here find it hard to understand that this club isn’t getting any better. Been an absolute train wreck for 12 straight seasons. People are happy that the team tried hard most weeks but yet still can’t get results. 0-3 to start the season I promise you. ITS A MESS

How come Blocker is in the 17 and Sele 18th
Shirt numbers don’t really matter as now a 6 man bench. Lawrie has been 17 two weeks and hasn’t gotten a run ..

regarding Sele , I think he’s better utilised as a front rower not a 13. I think sometime this season Stewart will be a 80 minute player .
Once him and Ryan went off on the weekend, that’s when we copped those points..

I think Kerr, liddle , Sele & Ryan will play .

Parramatta definitely won’t be throwing Melbourne shape at us. I thought we contained Melbourne quite well obviously up to the 60th minute. We won’t have that relentless pressure. They have leaked 90 points. I think we’ll score well.

A win will send a few people back under a rock. You have to remember Melbourne grand finalist Bulldogs top four Hope.

We have come up against two good sides.

I hope we get fking smashed. Praying we go 0-3 I’m done with this cancer of a coach, we haven’t improved since 2010. But some fans on here accept mediocrity which is completely fine…
Your hatred is so blind you can't see that you aren't 'rejecting mediocrity'—you’re cheering for it.

Praying for your own team to go 0-3 just so you can feel right about the coach you hate clearly identifies you a fake fan

Real supporters want wins regardless of who’s in the box.

If you’re genuinely hoping we get 'fking smashed,' stop pretending you care about the club and just go find another team you actually want to see succeed.

No point telling you to 'piss off' so I'll just ignore you

You're an oxygen thief and a waste of space

To be fair the thing that separates @Old Timer from the goons who regularly pop up when the Dragons are going through a tough patch is that he does have the right to be known as a "true supporter" and he is a passionate fan. He has seen the glory days of the club and knows what real long term success and true pride in the jersey looks like.
He also doesn't just spit out pathetic negative posts like the trolls do. He is always willing to detail an argument and while he can get a bit feisty (just like me) he always presents like a true fan of the club to me.
While it's uncommon that I agree with him when he's all fired up and ripping into our current coach he does usually present stats to back his arguments up and there are times when I have to admit he makes some good points. The one thing I'm sure we have in common is our frustration with the club's lack of success - the way this club was run into the ground after 2011 through to 2024 and the current run of 7 years of no finals football is unforgivable IMO.
I think most "true" fans share his frustration and anger - its just that he is choosing to see doom and gloom and no hope on the horizon while I perhaps naively do see some light at the end of the tunnel and see that the club is (way too belatedly) making some steps to get us heading back in the right direction. OT is a good one, just a bit grouchy and dogmatic when it comes to our current coach. He adds value to this forum and I'm keen to see him happy with the way the team represents us sooner rather than later.

The Saints team this year remind me a lot of the 1992 St George team... yeah that makes me sound old but I was a very young lad at the time. Only problem is the Vlandoball set restart era is a wildly different game, and I'm not sure we're set up for it right now. But anyway, indulge me. Gutho is our Mick Potter. Suli is Beattie. Val Holmes is Mark Coyne. Atkinson = Goldthorpe. K Flanagan = Peter Coyne. Cookie = Snoopy Collins. The Couchmen are about the same age as Tony Priddle was. Hopefully Stewart, Egan and Halangahu can emulate our 92 young guns Mackay, Barnhill and Gourley.

My main point is that we got our first win for 1992 on 28 March, against Parramatta. Final score 43-14. We don't really have anyone to compare to the great Ricky Walford so I'll need to subtract his double. 35-14 it is. Lock it in

- Ziggy P‑Adamski (47.83%)

⭐ Eels’ toughest refs
- Kasey Badger (33.33%)
- Belinda Sharpe (37.50%)
- Ashley Klein (43.90%)
Truly fascinating stats.

While rosters at different times can be naturally poor it is apparent to me that refs can make them even poorer.

I suspect the low % for the female refs towards the Eels and us is that those games were probably against the very strongest clubs whilst we and the Eels were near the bottom of the table and were low priority games in the scheme of things.
