I just got word from Sports Tonight that one of the greatest defensive ends.... if not the greatest, has passed away. Reggie White, formerly of the Eagles, Panthers and most notably the Packers, was one of the men that perfected the outside speed rush and inside rip. A sad loss for the game.

Rest In Peace Reggie.

I think you meant 42? I am not sure of his age, but he was definetly older than 24. He held the single season sack record for so long until Strahan beat it a few years ago.

Awesome player... I second that.

Died of sleep apnea and a related lung ailment. Reggie was the minister of defence and his signing helped the Packers to their first championship in years when they beat N.E in Superbowl XXXI.

Very sad news.

Yes, very sad news.

Isn't the average age of American footballers in the region of 45?

Do you mean the average age they live to? They do tend to die young, I think the average is in the 50s.
