I'm tipping the Dogs to win and I think they will be in the hunt of things come finals time.
Can't believe Millington is not in you 17.
Is Frankie playing? Heard he may not. Hope so. One of my favourite players and always in my fantasy teams.
Good luck Doggie fans.
Frank the tank is coming off the bench - to be used as an impact player. Expect Eastwood to have a similar impact in rounds 2-3 when he's expected to return.

I don't think it was that rusty, actually.

I thought it was very good defensively and good in offence. We weren't extremely creative or explosive in attack but very picture perfect in the sense that our kick chase was fantastic, we rarely kicked to anyone on the full and our go forward was terrific.

Congrats guys.

It's only round one, but it looks like Dogs have recruited very well. Barba looked a bit shaky, but will come good. If Idris gets his defense right he's in for a big year. Hodkinson's kicking is suberb. Kasiano is a player of the future. Tolman = machine; worthy replacement of Hannant.

Always good to get a neutrals opinion. A lot of positive signs for us doggies.

Someone asked which forward in our pack will strike fear into the opposition. Well I think we got our answer. Kasiano is a monster. I don't think the Tiger forwards expected his impact in both attack and defence. Looking forward to seeing him after 10-15 games.

Throw in Pritchard and Eastwood to and we have an imposing pack.

Stagg was doing all our tackling last year. Looks like he will have some competition with Tolman in the pack. Really liking the look of the pack now.

It's a shame with the whole Tolman thing. Oh well, I guess we got room to move with upgrading contracts for next year.

Our kicking game and defence in the middle were what most impressed me. The ruck was rock solid most the game.

Lots of players did well but I am so glad that Keating performed well. He is far quicker then he looks and backing up line breaks they way he did reminds me just a little bit of someone from yesteryear...

Kasiano was great but had some shocking hands. No excuses for him. It was probably fatigue. He will need to work on that.

Dogs forwards were excellent, bending the line in attack with every hit up and dominating the Tigers in defence. Idris also seemed like he was dipped in oil, I can't remember him being tackled by the first defender once in the whole match.

Also thought that the Tigers game plan was pretty poor. Booting the ball down field on the 4th tackle every set is just plain stupid.

Room for improvement for both teams but the Dogs definitely look the goods.

Overall very happy with the performance for rd 1 , very solid start to the year. Hodkinsons kicking game was first class and our kick chase was fantastic.

I think our goal line attack needs a bit of work with the new combinations , besides the Pritchard try i dont think we looked very dangerous close to the line.

Young guys went well and both our young halves tackling was outstanding.

I still think Idris defense looks shaky and he does give up a lot of yards by letting his opposite get on the outside of him.

Barba looked comfortable but was not really tested .

Overall a very solid performance and a gutsy first up win , i just hope Morris injury isnt to serious cause he looked unstoppable last night.

The match still isn't up on the nrl website under the bigpond video section would there be a reason for this? Just interested in watching again as I missed some bits of the game

Yeah the scans are to determine the extent of the damage. If it was a tear, he faces a month on the sideliens, however if he's clear he could be back this week. The took him off on Monday night simply for precautionary measures - he felt like he could stay on.
