I know Kelly played up but smashing a light is hardly the worst crime ever committed at Fanny's

Nor would you think it is so outrageous that it was a sackable offence no matter what was in his contract. He should have been asked to replace the light

He might hav had a few minor infringements but he was getting paid a pie and a coke and he had the potential to be our halfback for the next 10 years.

Apparently there is a bit of a stalemate in Kelly re-signing with the Titans.

Need to act quick with a big offer and he would be the dominant half we need.

He turns half chances into tries as evidence by his 8 tries this year.

As much as I've always rated Kelly I really doubt the club would go after him again after we sacked him. And honestly I don't see why Kelly would consider coming back here for the same reason.

Most teams in the NRL need a good half. Why would he come to us?

As good as Kelly is, I dont think he'd suit playing inside Mullo. Sezar is the organiser in that team and Kelly plays the ad lib running role

Im happy to continue with Roberts and develop him as a solid organising halfback

That's a fair call. As hopeless as Dureau was for us, he did organise the team well. As a result the team looked very structured and Mullen was able to use his strengths, such as his running game and the ability to play off the top of his head. Kelly would score tries and offer certain benefits, but would he allow the team to get the best out of themselves by offering structure. I have doubts.

I have seen Kelly in all matches this year and he provides structure to the Titans - there is no doubt

Titans won one and lost one. In the match against the Eels, Kelly was the won who sparked the comeback from 22-8 down at half time with a try assist to Harrison and scoring a try himself.
