Do you know if it's because Pete has an injury, or Bennett simply prefers Mantellato? His goal kicking might have had something to do with it. From the few games I've seen he seems a good kicker.
I think Bennett is just leaning towards Mantellato, I'm not saying he will play but it seems to be highly likely at this point.
Josh is an absolute giant, he's got no beef on him at all, he's nothing but a string bean but he's extremely tall and rangy and a complete professional. He's that tall it's almost awkward to watch him on the wing.
He was playing for Wyong at fullback and got selected to represent Italy in the 2011 WC qualifying tournament, in those games he took everybody by surprise and was the main reason Italy won with all the points his scored. We signed him up and he was the highest point scorer in the NSW Cup last year in his first year and won winger of the year with 16 tries and 122/144 goals, he went on a huge goal kicking streak of 20 or 30 something, if he was a regular first grader he'd be known as probably the best goal kicker the game's seen, he's unbelievable with the boot and the height and power he kicks his goals with is just incredible. He had one game this year where he missed nearly all but he hasn't gone a game in his career that I know of where he doesn't kick at least 90% of the goals, he's constantly going on long streaks.
His height gives him a huge advantage in the air and also helps to wrap up his smaller opposition and take them down easily. The boys are always kicking to him and it's pretty rare that he doesn't take the ball on the full to score. He's outplayed pretty much every winger he's come up against and he was tipped to debut last year but I think he was injured. The Sharks were after him at the end of last year too, I don't know what happened with that. He was on fire at the end of last year going into the finals but he broke his arm in our last regular game and we lost the next match I think.
He's thriving on being in the NRL squad for the first time this year too, Bennett put him up and it's been said that he's really making the most of it and loving being coached by such highly regarded people since he's spent all his career in the lower grades. I think he's 25 or something now. I hope he makes his debut and gets his name out there because he's been not only our best but the NSW Cup's best for the last year and a half now and he's a great guy from what I've seen so I'd be really happy for him to finally get his shot.
