Eels weren't 22 points better team at half time anyway, this is probably balancing the books a bit.

Roosters pressing again,

Eels give away another penalty... they've been penalised a bit in this game. Poor discipline, Hages will need to work on that.

Pearce fluffs it, 15 out from the Eels line. He's played well tonight, a real talent.

Pearce fluffs it again on his 30. A pity, coz it was a bad pass and he has played well. 6 minutes to go.

Sa cleans up a dangerous play, and it's a line drop out by the Roosters. If the eels score 6 more points, I've guessed the score! :p

Wing goes for an intercept and knocks on, Eels have given plenty of opportunities for intercepts tonight. A touch of luck going the Roosters way and the scores could almost have been reversed. Got to get those passes a little bit more accurate boys.

Whilst it is a good win (scorewise), lots of work for Hages to do with the boys.

Prodigal Eel I am referring to the fact that the Roosters dropped a number of intercept attempts (3 from memory), all by fast players, all with a clear run if they took them.

How many times do u see a week a player go for an intercept and not come off......its a low % play.....if that same player dosent go for it...theres a high chance of scoring out wide (players usually go for it when they see there out numbered and need to do something to prevent the try)

True, but some of those potential intercepts were almost passes to the chest. A little luck for the Roosters as I said, and they would have likely gotten a try from each.

Roosters went for 4 intercepts got nothing
Parra went for 1and Hayne scored

it's a low percetage play if your going to go for it make sure you get the ball or at very least force a scrum as if you totally miss it the other team will scored 2 of the Eels tries were due to failed intercepts by the Roosters causing a big hole in the defence.

also I'm fuming at Burt if the 2 shots that hit the posts in the 2nd half go over the score is 40-16 and I've got the pick the score
