The annoying thing for me is that we've played as good a few other times this season and not walked away with the points, largely due to absolutely losing our shit at the end. We still couldn't ice that game properly, but we did enough to deny them. We're not a wooden spoon team.

If we keep closing out our games as we have the last two weeks (and if Cronulla and Canberra keep being useless), I think we'll do enough to avoid the spoon.

Also Ryan Morgan gave BJ a bath today. BJ has been pretty bloody hopeless this year, and the source of a lot of penalties.

Finally that 14th position is ours. Onwards to 13th I say.

We have a BYE then play Sharks away and Titans at home. Not a bad chance to string a few more wins together and get the f**k out of that spoon race.

39 from 41. 91% completion rate. Tremendous effort.

Our forwards need to lift though. I think missing Clydsdale today with already having Cuthbro on the sideline removed the possibility of putting the points on. Dominated too often.

Well the Sharks now dont have Carney according to the media, so its makes there quest a little more difficult.

Pleasing win. That completion rate is ridiculous but even so we did throw it round a bit, enough to look somewhat threatening in attack and not boring anyway.

It was our D that won it. Only two tries conceded, one from a bad play by Uate and another that shouldn't have been given IMO. Edwards had released the pass so there is no reason he should be allowed to hold onto Gagai. Really annoyed me actually particularly with Gus crapping on with his usual whinge about how too much stuff gets pulled up. He was riding the Eels home hard this arvo.

But in any event up to 14th. Chance to go on a bit of a run. Top eight is obviously a big ask but we can at least avoid the spoon and be a menace to some teams from now on.

It's these performances that give me some sort of hope we can be a team to ruin other's finals hopes. I don't think we'll win enough to make the finals, even if we do I don't think results will fall our way to get in but we can certainly topple enough teams to have a respectable finish.

Just saw the last Parra try. Don't understand how that was given. Very clear that GAGAI was held back and would have had a big chance to stop the try.

Glad it didn't hurt us.

What happened to Clydsdale? I nearly wept when I saw Waddell was on deck for us.

I tipped the Knights this week, the players last week just look so much happier on the field, and I figure something has changed in the background (or that all that Tinkler stuff is finally finished as far as the players are concerned).

They played well, forwards always got a nice roll on, and many times made parra struggle getting out of their own end.

Just have to find someone to complement Mullen, damn he played well.
