Well done. I listened to the game sounds like our 5th tackle options really let us down but sounds like your defence was great

That was it for the Eels, really no go forward, straight to the fancy stuff, which just played into the Knights hands.

What happened to Clydsdale? I nearly wept when I saw Waddell was on deck for us.

Still unsure what his injury is, but I think he was still sore from last week. I thought Waddell played alright, I don't think he caused any headaches for the team, but there's a notable lack of quality service. Funnily enough, we looked better with Roberts on there.

what? the eels rolled through us, they ended up in the attacking 20 at the end of most sets in the 2nd half
as natheel says their options stank though, got caught on the 5th way too many times

clydesdale has a medial injury, been carrying it for a while. no sense risking our long term hooker this season, should sit him until he's 100%

I tipped the Knights this week, the players last week just look so much happier on the field, and I figure something has changed in the background (or that all that Tinkler stuff is finally finished as far as the players are concerned).

They played well, forwards always got a nice roll on, and many times made parra struggle getting out of their own end.

Just have to find someone to complement Mullen, damn he played well.
He had a good game, but by gee his kicking game was awful.

I too think Waddell deserves a mention for at least not being a complete liability this time around.

The best thing about this game is we won without playing near our potential and the more we win, the better we'll start to get. Our completion rate was 38/42, surely we have the best average completion rate ever for a team with 4 wins after 15 games.

On another note, how bad are Parra if Hayne isn't doing everything?

It looks like the boys have remembered how to "win" again. Not finding way to lose it and playing some smart footy. All to late sadly. But still. Nice to see.

I was away and didn't see my first Knights game of the year last week and we won.
Thought i might have jinxed them this week.
I agree we won on defense. We looked tired at times but we still got back into line while they struggled to do so.
Mullen was directing everything as it should be.
That try when we went from side to side was magic.
That's a team that deserves to be in the top 8 or near there.
We have a really good team. We have had all year. Let's make it 3 in a row.

This is exactly what I'm happy about. This season was shot early on but I'm so happy the boys hung in there and kept trying until a couple of wins came. Losing becomes a habit and I'd hate for us to go into next year following a huge losing streak like it looked like would be happening for a while there.

Well we have a bye now and then the Sharks and Titans. As I said earlier top eight is too much of an ask but a half-decent winning streak is doable.

Where there's life there's hope. It's only a pin prick in the distance, but it's still there ;-)

These last two wins really point out a couple facts.

1. It truly shows how badly the Gidley at Hooker experiment failed. It really really hurt us. But to be fair Gids and Bennett out their hands up and said it didn't work. With Cludesdale and even Waddell yesterday it showed a large improvement in ruck speed and middle defense and defensive speed.

2. Gids is still important to the team. Not the greatest half for us but best option for now as it's really straightened up our play and best of all made Mullen a lot more relaxed. I love Roberts, I still think he has one of the cleverest footballing minds in the game with his intuition but for whatever reason lost a lot of confidence and enjoyment this year. However last couple games he has started to smile again.
For the rest of the year Gids at half is going to work... Next year I'd like to see Roberts back there.

3. Seperate point. That was Parras first defeat on home soil and our first big away win since Canberra. Against a hostile crowd the boys showed the mental toughness that made us get 1 game away from GF last year. Where did it go? I do t know, but I'm glad it's back. Now hold onto it and do t f**kkng let go lads!!!

4. Yeow!!!

We win the first two games after Tinks leaves? Don't think it's coincidence. Confidence looks high and i expect us to win the next two games after the bye as well.

It was nice to win again but realistically the standard of opposition hasn't been very good the past 2 weeks, the Cowboys were terrible & the Eels -Hayne were not much better.

We have have a nice next couple of weeks coming up vs sharks/titans but we will have to play better to compete in the games after that against better opposition.

Watched the game after getting home from work last night, so happy with the win. And it wasn't just a win against a poor team (Sharks, Raiders) or a team with a poor record away from home (Cowboys), Parra have been playing well, especially at home, and hadn't lost at home all year, and they played well yesterday, and we got em.

Boyd is such a huge part of our team and we need him playing well for us to win. Glad he seems to be putting the effort in again.

Haven't seen the game yet, had to listen on radio, but it's a good win for mine. First loss for Parra @ Pirtek so far.

The next two games are also very winnable after the bye, Cronulla away and Titans at home in Rise For Alex round.

It gets tougher after that, but if we don't win those two, I'll be disappointed.
