Should be a cracking game this one. Both sides have looked good going forward and expect there to be goals. I'm going with Holland to win it in extra time.

Actually Portugal will win this. Dutch don't have an in-form striker and are struggling to score goals.

I'm looking forward to:-

C.Ronaldo v Robben - no not the diving contest. Want to see them school eachother with brilliant dribbles/flicks.

Figo v Van Persie - Experience v Youth; different styles but incredibly as effective. Figo is having an excellent WC.

Maniche v Cocu - both in form... both great players.

I think the Selecao da Quinta (sorry i'm not Portuguese) will win this die to the Deco factor. They also have a squad with much better depth with the likes of Simao, Petit, Costinha etc. on the bench.

Prediction: Portugal 2 (Deco 38' C.Ronaldo 55') Netherlands 1 (Robben 72')

ahhh i said it before, say it against, the most mouth water match that we know about so far, i think underestimate holland at your own risk, theyve lost once under van basten (bad sign for us aussies cos italy won 3-1 in holland) and have left the flare game behind and gone for a result at all costs mentality, portugal i think will nab them but who cares, just prepare and soak in a great match

Where do you start...

4 sent off, hundreds of yellows, missed chances, all in hand bags at 10 paces.

Van Basten - Useless. Leaving Van Nistlerooy on the bench when chasing a goal against 9 men was unforgiveable. Especially with Kuyt missing chances.

Figo - Should have been sent off for his headbutt. What was he thinking, they were already down a man and he does that. Not sure where the yellow came from as the ref wasn't looking at the incident when it happened. Must have been the linesmen and should have been a red.

Holland - Dirty cheating scum!!! The ball was played out for an injured player. What do they do, they take the ball away instead of giving it back to Portugal. Resulted in another rash challenge. They deserved to go out on that piece off b*llsh*t sponsmenship (lack of), dirty pricks.

Portugal - Weren't far behind the Dutch with p*ss poor challengers. Hope they get put out by the Poms.

Ref - WTF! Talk about losing control, actually he never had it and all the writing was on the wall for it to break out early on. The 1st send off opened the game up and was justified. He should have been sent 5 minutes earlier.

The game - What a shambles that was!

I thought the Portugese were even worse than the Dutch. The Portugese becoming outraged at the Dutch not being Gentlemanly at the drop ball was breath taking hypocracy.

The TV pundits are blaming the ref for it all, but children manage to play this game without a ref, it should not be beyond the wit of grown men to manage it.

What a disgrace. 16 yellow cards!

Both countries should be fined heavily for the way they carried on, particulalrly the Portugese, but the Dutch were not with out blame.

Figo should have been sent for the headbut, but in saying that, the Dutch player took an age to react! The fouls, the abuse the carry on at every opportunity was disgusting. Tiago gonig down with cramp when he had been on for less than 5 minutes!

If that fell within the codes of "Fair play", i'll give up!

Boularouz should've been marched instantly for that tackle on ronaldo, it was clear that Van Basten applied the same tactics on Ronaldo as Mourinho did on Messi in the champions league clash. First the challenge from Van Bommel mand then the challenge from Boulahrouz, it was obvious the dutch were keen to stop him one way or another

Problem was they were just about all warrented.

I don't know why the ref is copping so much crap, nearly every card was warranted. The majority of players acted like petulant children. Both teams should be fined for failing to control their players.
