Typically Brookvale game for us, injuries, bullsh*t reffing and no intensity.

Manly will beat a lot of teams if the refs allow this type of game for them.

Our attack has no fluency because they are just allowed to jump the gun every PTB. The refs still have preconceived ideas on teams and we suffer for it whilst Manly have a saloon passage yet again.

Bit of luck ASADA will end their season soon.

BTW Watmough knew exactly what he was doing when Gagai was injured, dog act. It's pure bad luck but our injuries start racking up again and it's Rd 2, every year follows the same script injury wise, kills us every time.

Refs will give JT enormous latitude next week and we will pay.

I'm really sick of watching the team get decimated year after year at Brookvale and leaving with injuries. It's just "that place" for us. There's really two certainties whenever we travel there: We get our ass handed to us and we have injuries.

But the injuries don't surprise me. The Manly squad is full of scum.

KOTW:

2 - Rochow
1 - Scott
1 - Smith
1 - McKinnon

Costigan needs to be dropped. Kidley based on that performance needs to be dropped. Quinn needs to be dropped. Actually, Costigan needs to be shot.

Uate 0/10 tonight in D, absolutely terrible, one of the worst defensive efforts I've seen from a winger has failed every test Manly have thrown at him tonight

Kids has been abysmal tonight

THe problem with Kids is that the harder he tries the worse he goes and in a game like this, because we are going like busteds, he thinks he needs to go harder and it actually makes things worse.

Tragedy is that tonight we sent the comp a message, we could have signalled our intent with a honest aggressive performance and we didn't need to win. Now everyone knows how to beat us and we'll get hunted from now on.

Crying shame.

Very little spirit and hardly any organisation out there tonight. Most of the players seemed like they would rather have been somewhere else.

Manly sent a message with their line speed, we could've responded to that with line speed of our own but chose not to, there were occasions where a manly player was taking a one out hit up, we could've rushed up and belted him but chose to let him run to us

I say next year we send all our reserves down to Brooky to preserve our 1st 17.

At least we (myself very much included) get a sound reality check.

I hope Gagai is back soon... we can't go too long with Aku being our only danger man (especially since he doesn't get the ball without him there). With Bedsy, Tahu, Gagai and Willy back in the squad we will be much stronger (not that they would of made the difference tonight).

As somebody said - Rochow, Smith, Scott and Mckinnon were they only guys out there who played any good. Quinn wasn't the weakness we expected either.

For all his show, he still has a lot to learn and that's a problem considering his pay packet.

Manly got a saloon passage from the refs, frankly they could have got penalized 30 times tonight but I don't think they got pinged once.

The Watmough try was one of the most inept pieces of defence I've ever seen, Boyd had to cover Stewart on the inside, Uate's obvious play was to take Watmough especially with no one on Watmough's outside Uate took no one and in the end was running alongside Watmough, was embarrassing to watch

The refs certainly weren't kind to us but our attitude was nowhere near good enough

The first half was pretty good considering running into head wind, injuries to Gagai, re - shuffle of team killed us. Our defence held up well. The constant pounding from Manly wore us down. Uate was made to look very ordinary with his defence. Agree egg on our faces this week boys.
