What have they got to lose by challenging it, so he misses a couple of games in 2014, big deal.

I would hire the biggest smart arse lawyer in NSW and then turn it into a circus.

I would then submit as evidence every single shoulder charge and judiciary inconsistency.

Turn it into a referendum on the effectiveness and impartiality of the judiciary and the perception that there is one rule for the superstars (SBW) and one for the rest.

We won't win but we need to defend ourselves against the NRL and make the point that we won't be walked over anymore.

I completely agree, but I'm afraid we won't try and fight it given how they have already f**ked us over for trying to get Smith's charge downgraded. Scummy bastards. I hate the NRL.

What the hell is wrong with us? Is tinkler so hard up now we can't even afford a lawyer to get this downgraded. If this plea is due to advice given to us by someone from our club, then that person should get sacked

Our club is an absolute farce. We will never be anything as a club if this is the type of mentality we have.

I don't think it's a case of the club "rolling over and playing dead" as much as it's them saying "well, we know Kade was hung out to dry and they've already decided he's guilty so he'll end up getting nine weeks if we challenge it."

I knew we wouldn't contest it after the way they slapped us down for trying to contest Smith's suspension. Like Jobdog pointed out, they've already decided that he's guilty. Would have been nice to see us fight it though just to show those f**kers that we don't agree with their treatment.

I'm really over the game at the moment, I just don't care anymore. I love this club but the game as a whole has become a farce.

Yeah I agree.

I would have like to have seen us challenge it just for the sake of making some noise about it but the fact is they've already decided they're going to throw the book at us. If we'd challenged it the inept f**ks would have just laughed and slapped the extra couple of weeks on.

I'm like you Noname, will always love the Knights but jeez there's been some farcical crap going on in the NRL over the course of this season.

Thompson's fractured jaw was the end of any leverage for Snowden. The game is protecting it's image and Snowden's shoulder gone wrong has been the ultimate proof the anti shoulder advocates have been praying for. it is pretty pathetic how Tariq Sims has carried on. He is pretty arrogant for a kid who has achieved little despite the so called talent. Oh and Benny has spoken out this last half hour over Snowden so he does give a s###!

Of course he gives a shit, I really think people over-reacted to what Bennett said at the presser. I feel at the time he was thinking yeah, if they're going to crack down on the shoulder charge then a send off and a couple of weeks on the sideline is probably fair enough.

No-one anticipated how ridiculous the charge would be... especially immediately after the game.

Dan Ginnane or Sterlo said on the Rush Hour that Kade didnt want to be the poster boy for the shoulder charge. Someone was seriously injured, and he didnt want his name to be in the papers for weeks on end. He wanted it to "go away"

IMO, it wasnt a shoulder charge as defined, but the NRL were never going to downgrade it.

Pritchards shoulder was far worse than Kade's, the only difference is that Kade's resulted in an instant, season ending injury. The Souths guy could be suffering concussion like effects for weeks.

The system is flawed.

The grading was ridiculous, but the penalty for fighting the grading is the problem. 7 weeks for the plea, 9 weeks if he fights and loses, and what 5 weeks if it is downgraded?

The right decision was made based on the flawed system in use.
