Papers are all running with JT's wish for the book to be thrown at Kade. We might not see him again till next season.

No doubt we won't. Media and game do seem to have it out for the Knights. The only Media personality who doesn't seem to have an agenda against us is Sterlo.

I was thinking when the incident happened that it would help Snowdens cause to go over and check if the young fella was ok, show some concern. not that it would get him off the hook, but its been smiled upon b4.

Like showstopper said, lets move on, I had, until I read the article about Bennett's comments, but i'll be the good guy and stop my rant there, moving on to an unlikely win on friday night! :D :p

Video of the alleged shoulder charge is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0sSlHSC4cQ
1st thought I thought there was nothing in it. I still do. He put his hand up to try and prevent contact. That might go for him.
Looks much worse from one angle than the other. On one angle (one showing his hand coming up) he seems almost stationary. Other it does look like he charged in.
I reckon he will get 2 weeks at least.

I'm so f**king frustrated by this shit.

$BW flew in with intent after trying and failing the hitup before, busts Willies cheekbone and gets 2 weeks. How the f**k is this a possible 7 weeks worse?!

Maybe if we wore green and red instead of blue and red we'd go alright. This is the second time this season we've been absolutely dudded by the horribly reactionary judiciary after Jez and it could completely derail our season.

Get f**ked.

So let me see if I get this straight.

SBW hits Mason with a flying shoulder charge, Mason out for 4-5 weeks and SBW gets 2 weeks.

Snowden hits Thompson with a defensive shoulder charge, Thompson out for 4-5 weeks and Snowden gets a minimum of 7 weeks.

The club if its got half a clue would burn the joint down because Snowden is getting crucified for all the other shoulder charges that have been let go.

The NRL can get f*cked. Also a special mention for coach Bennett who threw Snowden under the bus............

This is only the 2nd Grade 4 anything this season http://www.nrl.com/?TabId=10246
Longest suspension has been for Fa'aoso (8 weeks) on a Grade 3 Dangerous throw. 2nd longest was Smith (6 weeks) Grade 3 Dangerous Contact - Head Slam, guilty at panel.

So, an ex Newcastle Player and current Newcastle Player both get the longest suspensions with a current player facing the longest if he contests it and loses. All other shoulder charges this year have been grade 2.

Someone *does* need to stand up and cop a fine for speaking out about it.

Grade 3 would be a stretch for this but I'd accept it. It was careless but one view clearly shows him putting his hand up to prevent collision and push back. He couldn't push too hard with the way the player was falling. Should have tucked his shoulder back though.

Snowden has been hard done by. Its a shit situation all round really.

Im sure if Ray wasn't grabbed from behind just before being 'bumped' by Snowden I reckon he is probably
able to protect himself a little and the damage wouldn't have been any where near severe. Unfortunately as well, the point of contact was flush on the centre of the chin. Couple of weeks off would have sufficed IMO, there was nowhere near the intent or malice like some of the other mentioned incidents. f**k knows what genius grades these incidents.

Feel for Ray Ray. Lad was playing real well the last 3-4 weeks.

Yeah. never want to diminish the severity of an injury. It's a contact sport. Schit happens and can't see intent but hope the guy recovers well from it.

I'd agree with anyone that Snowden needs to work on his approach to tackles. He's a big guy that was brought up using his weight in tackles at impact. Hard to get out of that and if you take it entirely out of the game we just end up with pussies playing AFL - he needs to reduce the possibility of impact points.

f**k I'd love for Benny to have a little bit of whatever Geoff Toovey's been drinking and absolutely blow up about this.

Hopefully Matty or Gordie or somebody shout about it tonight. the f**king judiciary works off the media.

As an aside, I do feel for Ray Thompson and the Cowboys in this. He was going really well for them. It was nothing more than an accident with a very unfortunate end though. They want to make an example out of it for some reason. How about making an example of f**king Jeff Lima for trying to injure Watmough? Or SBW for trying to injure Willie? Those two went out there trying to do some damage and got a slap on the wrist. f**king merkins.

That'll do me. The NRL refs and judiciary are a joke among fans and players and this year has seen standards drop to a new low. Every match lately there seems to be a major fu#k up on behalf of the referees to the point where you expect a shocker or 2.

The last 6 weeks have been particularly diabolical to the stage where I only watch Knights games. The NRL is making an example of Snowden and Bennett has thrown him to the wolves. Sh#t go Wayne, what happened to sticking together? If Gower isn't in the 7 this week I fear the coach has lost it and I myself may lose it. Eat a di#k NRL. Don't cry to the fans when we all leave the game in a few years because we can't tell it apart from soccer.

This just seems to support my feeling that the NRL enjoys spitting in the face of Knights supporters. Supporters who turn up in strong numbers for every home game, regardless of how the team is performing. Supporters who hand over their hard earned to support their club and their code.

To date I haven't subscribed to the whole "they're out to get us" theory, but I do now. F*** the NRL.

I've made my mind up about Wayne Bennett now and it's not at all favorable. Rick Stone would never say one of his players deserved to get sent off. Chances are Rick would have been diplomatic and just said "we'll just have to wait and see". He never would have publicly denounced one of his own players at a press conference. But then again Rick would never refer to his own players as "them" either.

We're easy targets. The back page of all the major newspapers would explode if it was the Broncos, Rabbits, Roosters, Bulldogs, etc. getting shafted like this, but the Knights are easy targets.

Somebody get Willie a microphone. He'll be prepared to dish out a spray.

x2 on that, SK.

I hope we can bounce back against the droncs on friday. I'll be breaking my grog ban at the footy in order to enjoy myself at Suncorp.
