If Tyrone played like that more than once or twice a year, we wouldn't need Hodkinson. That was a really huge performance by Tyrone in all facets. He wasn't just a show'n'go tonight. It pisses me off more than anything, and I know it'll piss me off if he hits this form regularly for the Titans. They would have to be watching that game thinking they could have the buy of the season next year.

Great, great win. Really a marker of what can be done with passion and intent.

Shows that the balance of the year was wasted, they were capable of so much more.

Show is right, the next coach has something to work with.

Plus Bedsy is so good for this club, I hope he gets a start somewhere.

I hope Bedsy does coach the club some day, when he's ready. Players will bleed for the man, he put the runs on the board himself.

Slaughtered. f**king slaughtered them. They showed passion, heart, pride, everything in the jumper and bullied Melbourne to victory. Out wrestled the masters of the technique, never put their head down. I still think, even if he delivered this performance every week releasing Roberts is best for the club and him but he was super impressive.

We don't deserve the spoon. We really don't. This side is talented than team fighting to get into the eight. Hopefully they carry the momentum into next week and we can finish the season with 4 straight.

Where did that performance come from.

Congrats to all in the team. It was a massive win particularly when it was in Melbourne who also had so much to play for to make the top 4.

The defence was unbelievable both in terms of line speed and numbers in tackles which is not something we have not seen for a long time.

It has taken 4 years for Roberts to produce the short kicking game we have needed and credit to him on his performance tonight particularly as the Melbourne ground has the smallest in goal areas in the league. It was certainly Roberts best performance since his debut.

Pretty sure AAMI has standard in goals. It was Olympic Park that was shortened because of the running track. Your point is spot on though about his short kicking game. Good on Roberts and best of luck to him. Sometimes people need a boot up the arse

Any chance of Mullo making a forced drop out next season let alone 2 in one game??? How many did Tyrone manage tonight??? Had to be record for forced drop outs for the club since Joey retired?

He had a bit of a lapse in concentration in the lead up to Munsters try but other than that I thought he was very strong in both attack and defence. Our left side defence has struggled all year but they finally look like they trust each other and it's paying off.

Nothing will surprise me with this game.

I told you!

Didn't get to watch the game but I heard it on radio, should be able to watch a replay tomorrow.

I guess the question is where has this been all year? Can we continue this form for the remaining games and will it be there from round 1 next year?

Fingers crossed.

Browny and Hook must have been quietly beaming knowing one of them have a bloody talented side at their disposal next year. I feel Brown is still the man who can take this momentum higher into next year. He was a passionate player and he has shown he can take a fight to anyone as a coach before.

How frustrating is it that Bedsy coaches the wrestle better than Bennett or Stone in less than a month and we look like the best defensive unit in the comp last night. I am still stunned TBH how dominant we were physically. The Dogs get us on Old Boys day with us now believing we can beat anyone.

The most frustrating thing is that we didn't have any fancy plays, we didn't suddenly have an amazing player dominate the match and the Storm didn't play that badly either.

All we did was run hard onto the ball, give 100% when defending and play smart football. I was so psyed to see the boys go hard and rub the storm players the wrong way. The boys ran onto the ball hard and fast and we played direct. Roberts didn't go for magic plays but played smart and we won that we our defense and field position. I can only imagine that's the sort of football Bennett wanted us to play week in week out.

Felt so good watching the game yesterday. Usually I'm just waiting for the next time we concede but yesterday we felt impregnable! Well done lads!

That was the best game we've played since we beat the Storm there in that 2013 finals match. And Roberts was the best player on ground on both occasions. Shame he's never produced consistently.

Our defence was brilliant last night, both in the middle of the park and on our goal line. We just refused to crack and we frustrated their playmakers and forced them to rush their kicks and passes. As has already been mentioned we wont have the most talented roster next year but if we can turn up with that attitude week in week out we'll play finals football.

I see us next year being a bit like Cronulla from this year, not expected to be that competitive and no real superstar players but they are gritty, turn up for each other and stick to a game plan and they are strong at home. If we could be more like that next year I will be really pleased with the improvement.

Our edge defence was so much better without Beau Scott whose bad defence this year people seem to like to ignore

Did he have any other big plays? He's not really the fastest player around but he is very very strong.

I think he was atleast on par with Will Chambers maybe even bettered him slightly, got stopped about an inch short of the line after he beat Chambers one on one with a big fend
