This obsession with Gidley is now starting to haunt Bennett. The bloke is chewing up a shit load of cap, has been mostly injured the past few seasons and will take a good while to get back to anything like his best. Unfortunately Bennett is relying on him to lead this pack around and he's just not up to it atm.

The bloke is a good utility and should be used as such. Clydesdale to start and Gids to come on later in the first half from now on.

This is what I imagine it will be should Clydesdale shape up. It will prolong Gidley's career also.

Mullos been training he'll hopefuly be a late inclusion next week or the one after

So that will be about 6 weeks from injury????? Seems hard to believe he'd be right to return by then after the injury diagnosis.

If we create the upset to end all upsets Monday night and get Mullo and Boyd back in the next fortnight then all the pain has been worth it. Maybe the whole Tinkler debacle has a silver lining.

I will kiss the ground he walks upon if he returns next week. This injury, more than ever, has convinced me there is a God.

We all know our ability to strangle teams off the back of Mullo's kicking game is our biggest weapon. When done right we are unbeatable.

I really wish you'd stop doing this.

Working tonight, will watch the game when I get home at 8.30. Hoping for the best but not really expecting it.

waddell played for NSW cup on weekend
looks like clydesdale will play for us tonight

houston played in NSW as well
so Fa'alogo is playing too

that makes me feel a little better about the game

About F ing time on both accounts. Dave has been easily our form forward in NSW Cup and Clydesdale is our only real natural dummy half up to the task of top level NRL. People rave on about Redman but I don't see it.

I don't see how the rest of their players match up with ours... We might have higher paid and higher profile players than the Storm in certain positions but the Storm are all about the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. They are so well drilled they look like a machine. They are relentless and to be honest, we could be looking at a cricket score.

I don't think a loss this week necessary means our season is over. There are about 3 or 4 good teams in the NRL and the rest are relatively average (including us). Anyone can take the 4 other spots. It's a long season and we're only into round 3. I still think we'll finish between 4th and 6th.

Hugzy, how we looking this week? I personally think we'll hold out until the 65th minute and then let them blow out the score.

34-6 with Minto getting the lone try assist.

I agree 100% about Melbourne playing better as a team. Their spine is far better than ours, but in all other positions across the park I think we are the equal to...if not better than Melbourne. My concern is that while Melbourne always play as a well-drilled team.....we have the most successful coach in history, yet he hasn't been able to get our players to perform consistently as a team. I hope I am wrong, but I think it'll be a long night for us tonight....

I think their forward pack is far better balanced than ours (that is - a range of blokes that provide different dimensions to their pack). Our pack is very one-dimensional... although Scott is certainly providing a bit in attack at the moment, which is good - because we need it.

I think the only place we can claim to have them covered is out wide, but without quality early ball - it goes to waste too.
