I don't know where any of you f**kers are getting any of this optimism. I'll settle for brave tonight.

Fa'alogo starting is an excellent move. Mason is definitely a bench player now... he's not what we need in a starting prop, and it looks like Wayne has called it pretty quickly.

For all the knockers who like to get into Wayne - I've gotta say he's the most switched on coach we've ever had. More often than not - he makes the change we can all see is necessary... sometimes a little late, but I'm guessing it's a bit different when you see blokes train all week and what not.

It's pretty rare that we have a selection where we just cannot fathom the logic behind it. That's more than you can say for jsut about any other coach we've had in the short-mid past.

Ah, fair enough.

Seems we have a pretty good crop in the 20's. Let's see if they can hold it 'til seasons end.

I thought I read Matt Adamson was now the coach of Melb's under 20's. Are they that bad or are we shit hot???

We've won three on the trot, including wins over penrith and Canberra who are notorious for having very good juniors, so we must be doing something right!

Before the post-game wrist slitting and massive hyperboles start tonight I just want to remind everyone that we're playing Melbourne in Melbourne without our 2 most crucial players and we haven't had the best week off the field.

Perspective.

I can see us winning just because it's the kind of thing that happens, not so much because I think we are actually better than the Storm at anything (because we're probably not).

But the NRL is a fickle mistress and coming off two losses just about makes a decent team more likely to win than lose a third. Would anyone really have tipped the Warriors over the Cowboys with any confidence? I tipped them just because it seemed like they'd probably win somehow (like you can almost see the headline before it happens).

Anyway, that's me being positive. I'm normally at the realistic / pessimistic end of the fan scale, but my one big hope here is that the Storm are a bit off, we're very very on, and it gets us a win 20-18 with one our penalty goals finally actually winning us a game rather than being the moment the momentum of the entire match swung against us.
