If we're a fair dinkum Top 8 chance, then we find a way to get the two points today.

You'll get a pretty good gauge on where we're going in 2023 from the performance today.

I'll admit, I won't have any confidence we'll win any game until I see significant improvements, and serious attitude change.

But the coach is not responsible for the attitude according to the coach himself. It makes you wonder what he’s responsible for

Last week win was ugly but kept the pressure and spotlight off the team.

Otherwise the blowtorch would have been on.

Now it's time to get some momentum and get b2b wins . We are at the start of what is probably our easier part of the season so it's time to get some momentum and string 3 or 4 wins in a row.

Ladder is congested even though it's confusing as f**k with the byes.

3-4 week winning run should get us into the 8 pretty quickly.

It’s really hard to know where we’re at right now. Got no idea which Parra will turn up. This is our strongest line up all year though and in front of a huge crowd on hopefully a dry track (haven’t even looked at the Sydney forecast) I’m confident of a win.

This game should be ours for the taking - even though they're ahead of us on the ladder, Dogs points differential is pretty crap.

Dogs have two of their strike players out injured in JAC and Kikau. They have a reggies-level player that Eels released at fullback in Perham. We have our full strength first choice side on the paddock, playing at home in front of a large daytime crowd.

Any win is a good win I guess... but if we're serious chances this season then the match shouldn't be in the balance with 20mins to go. Anything less than that should be judged as a failure.

Well you should wonder. Every club will have a different management structure and the coach will sit somewhere within it, depending on the other managers and coaches. So in a club with more assistant coaches the head coach will do less hands on coaching than at a club with fewer assistant coaches. At some clubs the coach will oversee recruitment while at others he will just be part of a committee run by a GM or even the CEO. Every club is different.

However the senior players in a club are at the coalface. They absolutely must be responsible for attitude or else what are they doing in the leadership group? Just organising social events?
