Aku really needs to up his game... I don't know what we can do there. There were years where he was carrying our team all by himself. That bloke isn't at home at the moment. He's low on confidence, for sure... and possibly complacent after resigning for big dollars?

The reality is that he's a winger that has had the same flaws in his game since he entered grade.

He was exposed at origin and hasn't corrected the flaws, probably doesn't think he needs to. Mirror his performance with Ferguson or Hayne, they are stepping up for Origin, he is making sure Daley doesn't pick him.

Good club man but not worth the money he is on, he's let in more tries this year than he's scored, the opposite of what you want in a winger.

I think if this season is a failure, then I will probably agree with you that Bennett has questions to answer, but we're not there yet.

I have run out of ideas with what this club needs player and culture wise cos every time we f### it up. it is just a sad state of affairs. Bennett has got to put his hand up as the buck stops with him. The players cannot find ways to dig themselves out of s###! It is depressing to the real supporters.

Hate to say it but I would start by publicly sorting out the Gids issue, it's not working. No one is bigger than the team.

I'd also revisit the roster, it's crap. We need a hooker bad, love Bedsy but getting a dozen games out of the first choice hooker isn't acceptable, punt Waddell.

Drop Uate, he isn't right mentally.

We need a back rower that can break the line, none of them can.

It's also time for Bennett to rip them a new one publicly, might not be his style but right now, nothing else is working.

We haven't had our full 17. With Sims playing excellent and replacing Costigan, the 17 that has Bedsy, Scott and Smith is excellent and I think has the potential to really storm home and secure a finals spot, maybe 5th or 6th because right now, that bunch of teams on 8 points aren't exactly bad, but they're not really dangerous enough that come the final few rounds, we're faced with having to win x amount of games out of x to secure a home semi.

Likewise, jury is still out for me on Bennett until the completion of this season. There were a few occasions even at the Broncos when people wanted Bennett gone. In 1990 there were grumblings after he sacked Lewis, then in 1991 The Courier Mail ran a 'Should Wayne Bennett be sacked?' poll after Brisbane missed the finals...the last time they would do so until 2010. Again when the Broncos went through 2003- 2005 without winning a finals match, the call was that Bennett had lost his touch etc etc.

Raiders will be lucky to show the same zeal and enthusiasm again this season. That is the best they can play. Knights (as already mentioned) had a few key players missing or not at 100% today. Granted, defence up the middle was terrible, especially in the second half, but going into today's game the Knights were in 5th position. That's the highest up the ladder they've been in a fair while. Also remember that Bennett inherited a Dragons team that had the playing roster to win but not the club culture. Here he inherited a team that not only had lost some of the culture Brian Smith established, but weren't exactly a roster that was getting mentioned in the same breath as Melbourne and Manly...

Yes, but we also completed very well and applied good pressure to force many of those errors. We competed hard and had intensity. We lacked all of that today. We were horrible.

It's only worked against teams below us in intensity or suffering injuries. Look at the tigers, Cowboys, pathers and Tits.

As soon as a team wants to really come at us, we wilt and wilt bad.

I can accept that we'll get beaten by better teams, but the last two weeks have been us not being ready and willing to dig and compete.

It becomes a self fulfilling prophesy, teams have worked us out, intensity, enthusiasm and commitment will beat us every time.

Des has already written the game plan for next week and the result will be the same as today.

Not really. Off to a start maybe, but there's a lot more football to be played yet.

In our next 9 games we play souths, Melbourne, roosters, dogs twice as well as an away trip to NZ. Truth is we had a soft early draw and haven't made the most of it

Well that result was never outside the realms of possibility. The Raiders can blow anyone away at Canberra Stadium if they get in the mood and the other team can't handle the momentum.

The funny thing about this particular hiding is that I don't believe we got particularly dominated in the forwards, metres-wise anyway. We actually didn't have that much trouble getting out of our end, and any time the Raiders tried to hit it up one off the ruck we handled it ok. It was on the fringes that they absolutely killed us. Ferguson, Papalii and Milford when he came on found it very easy to make breaks once the ball got a couple of passes wide.

Big picture, I think it's silly to slit wrists so early even though the response in here to that performance is predictably furious and rightly so. We're still in 5th spot. No Mullen, Scott, Smith and Buderus isn't an excuse for a performance like that but it is a reason for a) our structure breaking down, particularly in the second half and b) our fringe defence falling apart.

Our goal during these few weeks should always have been to get through this difficult period without too much damage. We should have won last week sure but Raiders in Canberra is always very difficult. Talking about missing the top 8 and all that is just rubbish, so much water to go under the bridge.

THANK YOU. I have no idea why people are already putting us down. We have quality players out so our performance is justified.

He can't run out there and make the tackles for them. We need leaders on the field leading by example. Aside for some really strong carries from Snowden... what do the boys have to look to for inspiration? Gidley f**king everything up? Boyd acting like a princess? We need our leaders out there, most of them are on the sidelines. Same problem we've always had, I've seen this all before.

Spot. Bloody. On

How are we supposed to play well with all of our hard men on the side lines
?

Look, we were terrible today. Lazy, undisciplined and unmotivated but it's not the end of our season or our world. The Raiders were red hot and we couldn't keep up. Blaming Wayne for that loss is a silly over reaction. Lets not lose sight of the fact that a few of our guys, including the whipping boy of the hour Aku, played injured

We'll be back and you all will have forgotten about this game by seasons end

9 unanswered tries, f**k, you should be taken out back with the shot gun and white sheets

Imagine getting absolutely f**king towelled after been given a free 14 point head start. The shame

If all NRL games finished after 25 minutes, we'd be unbeaten in 2057 games... Pity we can't win the next 55...

Our performance have been declining over the past few weeks. The Penrith game was atrocious and last week their was a lack of intensity. I watched with envy last night as Bowen ran the ball back to line with speed unlike Boyd. At times I think Boyd and even Uate would have the best stats for side way running from kick returns....
