Gids with words of insight in the presser.

"We will work hard at training and turn it around".

Okay, if that's all that's required then there's nothing to worry about.

Conference not up yet, watched it on the NRL app. Only saw a minute and it's the same shit as the last 5 weeks from Gids and Stone.

I don't care what it is called but it would require novocastrians to once again give a shit about this club for it to work. it would also need Harragon or someone to speak out against his mates. Good luck with that one.

Both of them. One runs the club, the other captains the team. Get rid of both, then the cleansing can begin

Good point and right now the Knights nannas are putting the slump down to the team being heartbroken over the departure of their favourite son, Kurt Gidley.

So who do we ask to be boss? Shane Richardson is the man we need. His success rate is pretty up there. Most clubs he runs win a comp.

About as predictable as the team that will be announced Tuesday arvo.

And that's the problem with the Knights. Everyone is in a nice little comfort zone. There's no pressure on anyone to perform from the CEO down. I bet everyone is at the pub having a jolly good time now giving eachother high 5s

pretty much shows the whole teams mind set. out there to smash the opposition and instead theyre playing with their dicks

I thought we had the better of them for the first 15 mins of each half but we were just unable to take advantage of our chances because our last play options were so poor. Roberts had gotta go back to NSW cup until he remembers what his job description is, Gidley wasn't great but at least wasn't riddled with errors like in the Cowboys game.

On those no try decisions, the first one was 50-50 but I can live with it as I don't think he got the ball down quick enough. The second one was a video ref f@*k up IMO, the ball definitely changed direction before hitting the turf which implies it hit his foot first. Very unlucky not to be given that try I think, especially as it was sent up as a try in the first place. Problem is that could potentially have gotten us back into the game at 12-4 or 12-6 but instead Manly get he ball back and score almost immediately and we're down 18-0 so it's basically a 12 point swing. That's the moment that broke our resolve IMO.

On the players, Gagai was good at fullback and will only get better if Stone gives him more time there (which j think he should), I thought our back row played well too. BJ looked good in yardage but the usual stupid errors let him down. Randall looked pretty good though, especially that early break. More starting game time will help his development immensely IMO. Hiku made Sione look pretty poor all day but I think we need to persevere with him at centre as its his natural position and he did make a few decent runs today.

If a 5 game losing steak doesn't force Stone's hand I don't know what will. Tyrone has to be the first on the chopping block surely! I would even put up with Kurt in the halves for the rest of the year it it means Gags gets to play at fullback.

I feel a bit sorry for Sione. He trained quite a lot as the backup fullback during the preseason. It was always going to be a big ask playing centre especially after been shuffling around during the first 8 weeks.
I blame the coach more for his poor performances. Though I never saw him as a "superstar" hes still better than your average first grader.

It's going to be a tragedy if we never get to see Gagai have a whole preseason training at fullback to see what he can do from back there. Get his body and fitness right.
Though I'm excited to see what Mamo can do from fullback next season as well, I think Gagai can be something special in the number 1.

Good thoughts mate, pretty much what I think too. Very weird game in that we went into the sheds 18-0 down but in reality we were maybe 1 try worse or maybe even with them.

This game exposed our halves more than any other, especially because DCE had a stormer. Even despite the unluckiness with the video referee, we created plenty of good chances and good field position. That final play to get the try is the problem unless our backs do something individually awesome. Roberts really needs to be dropped. Mullen would have been an improvement but even then I doubt he would have been the sole difference between us looking sharp and looking out of sorts.

Positives are that we were making yards through the middle well, traditionally one of our weaknesses. Gagai was great as others have said and the Sims boys, particularly Tariq, really look like getting up to the standard we hope they could be. The short ball from Gidley to Sims for the try with runners out the back, just do that like 100 times a game boys!

You make a good point. Both of the Knights tries yesterday came from good formation with the Gagai sweeping at the back. Both times Lyon was caught out rushing in looking for Gagai at the back.

Gagai was a great positive. Randell as well. Forwards rolled it up well. Backs are supposed to be our best assests but they did nothing... Tyrone is as bad as I've seen anyone play in the NRL.

Congrats to Uate and his missus. They are expecting their first boy in a couple weeks.
Could explain why Uate was in his own little world yesterday.
