Brandon Smith will be sacked in august in 2025 by the rorters id give Brandon Smith a 1yr contract sign him up then have humphreys as back up hooker then put havilli on the bench then send mamouzelos to the reggies where he belongs.and hopefully if ilias signs with stmerge then Matthew lodge signs a 2yr deal at souths.

He's a smart young kid, I've seen him play at Cup level where he has played full games and really impressed. In first grade, he's only had limited minutes mostly off the bench where he has been told to just do a job. But now he has the chance to show his full wares as a starting hooker and he will surprise a few people including your good self I reckon.

Give him a chance.

I fell asleep reading that speedster lol

Two hookers on the bench that sounds good

With latrell and wighton both on self imposed alcohol bans we could be in for something special and if lateral gets the captaincy in cams absence his game might go to another level
In a major boost for the Bunnies, Mitchell will be available for round one with the NRL ruling his one-match ban for the Dubbo white powder scandal can be served in the Indigenous All Stars fixture.--

Giving up playing the Indigenous game is a big sacrifice for Latrell to make and wouldn't come lightly. But he is showing his commitment to the club and the need to turn things around is obvious. So far so good from him but its early days. Lets hope it leads into his best season yet.

The draw is joke once again we have the hardest draw nothing new. No home game til round 4 I assume Accor is not available.

So we play all of last years top 4 twice only team to do so.

At least we have 2 Sunday arvo home games.

You know what backs to the wall we will be ok together stronger and unbreakable! I’ll be emotional if we can make the top 8 and we will!

From Fox Sports analysis:

Welcome back to Souths, Wayne Bennett. The legendary coach has to contend with a horror draw in his first season back at the Rabbitohs. In addition to a Round 1 blockbuster at Suncorp against his former side the Dolphins, Bennett’s Bunnies face three of last season’s top four teams (Sharks, Panthers, Roosters) within the first five rounds of the 2025 season. That makes up half of a mighty tough stretch from Round 3 to 9, when Souths have to face reigning top eight teams. This means that much like 2024, the Rabbitohs could start the year on the back foot and parked near the bottom of the table. Adding to the pain, Souths are the only side to play the 2024 top four teams twice each, with 13 games of a possible 24 to come against last season’s top eight teams. Unfortunately Rabbitohs fans, your team has far-and-away the toughest draw in
