And he will probs pull up lame after this game then miss all our pre season game as usualMate i think he is a bludger, your right, last year a huge chunk off with that dreaded calf, this year as well then all of a sudden he is ok to play? Id be shifting him on after this year,i agree wighton should be mothballed
Wayne will be in his ear too if he's in Latrell's. We need him to step up especially since we haven't gone out and bought another established prop. Make or break year coming up for big brother. Over to you Shaq. You are probably right about Shaq but hope he gets through the game and has a reasonable dig in 2025
I think it's more a case with Reynolds that we thought we had an able replacement ready to go. That very much turned out not to be the case. Hopefully now with the two 7s we've got one of them will step up and fill the massive void left by Reynos departure.
Well, over the last 3 years since Adam has been at the Broncos, Adam has played 56 out of 75 games (including 3 finals in 2023) for them, missing 19. In that same time, Cody has played 70 out of 75 (including 3 finals in 2022) games for us, missing just 5. Yeah, Adam was unlucky to rupture a bicep last year but still, he has had a variety of injuries along the way too.
I think the reports of Cody's demise are being greatly exaggerated.
Cody has been on the downhill since our loss in the grand final in 2021. As he's gotten older he's gotten considerably slower and just isn't as dangerous anymore. He is coming to the end of his career now and his calves aren't going to get any better. He was given the chance to run the team last year and couldn't do that either.
Once we can admit to ourselves that he isn't the guy for the job anymore we can move on and look to input some real speed and talent like Jye Gray.
Cody should be looking to move to Centre or take a number 14 role if he wants to extend his career.
If you look at replays of 2021 grand final when he scored that try and look at him now his body shape has changed a fair bit he’s now got a bit of a verandah out the front that he didn’t have then that might be reason he has lowed down a bit but see how he is goin half way through season before we write him offCody has been on the downhill since our loss in the grand final in 2021. Cody's never been particularly quick so losing a yard or 2 doesn't worry me. His main asset is his guile and amazing balls skills. 2021 he was at his peak which will be hard to get back to but same can be said for Turbo. Cody in 2025 is still elite and miles above what is available if we were silly enough to farm him off too soon. Jye Gray has a bright future but he has yet to stand up to defending in the line at NRL level so let's see him tick that box next. I love him but he still needs time to develop and learning from a skillful and wily Cody in his last couple of seasons will do him wonders.Cody has been on the downhill since our loss in the grand final in 2021. I think he's always had that front porch but he has also trimmed it off at times before it's made a comeback. Some players need to make sure they're not too light on up against much bigger blokes. It's what's between the ears that matters for Cody while his body still holds up.If you look at replays of 2021 grand final when he scored that try and look at him now his body shape has changed a fair bit he’s now got a bit of a verandah out the front that he didn’t have then that might be reason he has lowed down a bit but see how he is goin half way through season before we write him off
